It's a first person shooter...why would not expect PVP to play a large part. I'm not great at PVP, but I do well enough to go positive most matches, and I enjoy it a lot more than mindlessly fighting AI opponents with completely predictable movements.

I only expected to play Destiny the way I wanted to. Before removing a feature I was using and enjoying, I didn't have a problem. I just avoided PvP since they only had a few maps which were small. The PvP style I enjoyed in other games were CTF, huge maps, vehicles and more team based. Maps that allowed all different styles of play in order to win were my favorite. Control is the closest but still way too limited. The other styles just don't do it for me. I'd rather watch paint dry than compete in those modes. Who knows, maybe Bungie will figure out how to make PvP maps similar to Halo. I always ranked in the top 500 players in Halo 2. For now after completing the raid it has definitely grabbed my interest and I want to do it again with my other characters. The DLC may add even more stuff to keep me occupied. A few days will tell the story for me.
