Some sort of system where once the new area is entered (like darkness zone) the other players have a set amount of time to enter the area before they are disconnected from your fireteam.

But what about the times when a daily event starts right when your strike starts and one of you stay to do it and the others rush off to the strike. Then you would get booted for doing a daily event

My reply to this is the same as starboard's.

You're not there for events help your team or get kicked. Stay on task. There will be events later.

Pretty much this. You can go do the event if you'd like but after that you'll be striking with a different team.

That's not how Bungie wanted the game go be played you have been nerfed

That could work but there's also the flaw if people sprinting ahead past all the unnecessary mobs, generally leaving those who take the time to clear behind. Not a bad idea though!

Yea I have thought about that but they can simply get disconnected into their own fireteam instead of back to orbit. That way they can still continue playing without any penalty and you can run as far ahead as you like only to have more team members join you. I'm basically thinking of using the instances more to an advantage in the strikes instead of just public areas. If people don't play at all then they'll get put into parties with people who will be in the same area, likely other afkers and they'll get nothing out of it any more. If people are slow to get through then they can disconnect and continue playing with people at their similar speed. If people run too far ahead then they'll just have people to join in and help for the end. Only people who lose are the afkers.
