Inevitably I think people will find a way to go as little as possible. Is like cheesing bosses. People will always find the path of leasy resistance.
Unfortunately I don't think the solution is easy or even possible.
Even if you make it so they participate in every darkness zone people will find ways to do nothing while being in the zones.
And in the other hand, putting in a kill to earn loot system sounds good initially, but I have had a few friends that I wanted to help get higher level so they could raid with us and dragged them through the nightfall and weekly to do it.
Now think about this.. So many people complaining about afk people on strikes. Imagine if there was matchmaking on the raid and we had to deal with crap like this?
Point is that this stuff isn't a flaw in the game as much as in the gamer. We just have to learn to live with it.

Ya.. Did the same.. Carried my buddy through the nightfall 4 times as he was leveling up.. 4 times I literally did everything.. And 4 times he got a weapon and I got materials. They already have the system in place.. And its exactly the opposite of what is asked for here... And THAT is why they sit afk..

Yeah I have never understood it honestly. I personally play games for the challenge and the fun. Sitting by the screen occasionally moving your character so that he doesnt get booted for inactivity and doing nothing sounds awful to me. Maybe I'm missing something that makes this so worth it. Even if I've done the strike 50 times, I'd rather be doing it shooting stuff in the head then sitting at the spawn.

I think people are abusing the system.. It seems to reward you more if you do badly.. So its not even about laziness. Its about probably getting a better reward by being afk then actually playing.. That's what I think.. Same with playing on a laggy connection in cod.. Even if it doesn't work, enough people think it does to make it a problem

Yeah but that's the thing I don't get. That's sounds like a miserable waste of time. But hey I don't really care at all. Everyone can be afk for all I care. I'm up for the challenge. *adjusts helmet and reloads gun* Let's kick some ass!
