Why don't instead of making a whole other game "destiny 2" just add DLC's and keep expanding the game? Add more planets, maps, missions, new enemies etc. I always wanted a game like that so theres no hassle of buying a whole other game just updates and adding more stuff keep it never ending so that the game can keep being played instead of becoming a paperweight on your shelf.
