You can get a refund for the expansion > [http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/83678452/0/0]
This DLC was NOT worth $20. 3 missions, a strike that we can't play until Friday, a raid that we can only do on one difficulty until SOME time in January, and some new guns/armor. It only took my friend and I 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete all the missions, and the Playstation exclusive strike. We aren't even level 30. Now we get to wait until friday to buy "The Urn of Sacrifice" from Xur before we can do the new strike (Nightfall/Heroic).
In many other games, this would be just a regular update, not something we have to pay $20 for. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and went to the midnight release, so I got the Expansion Pass with everything. Had I purchased a regular copy of Destiny without the Expansion Pass and seen what this The Dark Below added, I would have NEVER wasted $20 on it.
I will be calling customer support tomorrow afternoon demanding a refund for this DLC.
[Edit] I pre-ordered my copy of Destiny (Collectors Edition), and got it at the midnight release. At this time, there was absolutely NO information as to the contents of The Dark Below nor any other future DLC. Since I purchased the Collectors Edition of the game, I received the Expansion Pass when I got the game (at the midnight release for those of you who can't keep up). So for those of you who keep commenting "the content of the DLC was available before it was released. you knew what you were buying", I clearly had no way of knowing what The Dark Below would include when I received my Expansion Pass.
So stop making these useless comments, you're only making yourself look like an idiot.
And for those of you who keep mentioning the Nightfall, stop. The strike has literally 0% to do with the point I'm trying to make. Those of you who can't seem to figure out my point in this (which seems to be a lot of you), my point is that for the content we received with this DLC, we shouldn't have had to pay for it. This is content that should have been in the game from the start, or it should have been given to us free of charge. The ONLY part of this Expansion that would be worth any sort of money would be the 3 Crucible maps, and those should have been a DLC of their own. This way, those of us who don't give a rats-ass about the Crucible wouldn't have to pay for something we don't want.

I agree. It's not quite what I'd expect, but I'm hopeful that it evolves into something better.
-
You don't have to wait until Friday to play the new strike. just do all eris's missions except the urn one and you can play the new strike.
-
Agreed
-
baaaka baaaaka
-
You will never get it back, soz
-
Read you can't get a refund
-
Actually the raid was open as soon as the DLC was unlocked. And it was worth it it we got a free legendary weapon not to mention the free sparrow, and the raid, and all the new gear from that so, sir if you dislike what we have been given do us all a favorite sit down put the game in its case put it one the shelf and stop play

Just to correct you. You can do the strike now. You have to complete 4 of Eris quests to unlock it. The quest that you purchase the urn from Xur is for something else.
-
You suck
-
It's 20 bucks? Big deal. I do wish they did more of a story to it. But overall I liked it

Edited by hoifob: 12/11/2014 6:19:34 AMSo you already beat the raid on normal? PS: if $20 is such a big deal to you. You shouldn't of spent an extra $20 on the game period. Any kind of DLC is a rip. For the matter of fact paying for Live and PSN in it self is a rip but I'm not complaining.
-
Well, I hate to break it to you, but YOU spent the money on the DLC without knowing what would be on it. You - only you - took the risk and made that choice. That's part of spending money that involves risk. Next time, don't do that. But you already spent the money bc of the risk you decided to take... So FIDO - forget it and drive on.

Here is a secret way to get your money back on DLC: 1. Get a job 2. Work for one day 3. Get your paycheck Hoped this helped
-
how can you say what it's worth? you may think the content isn't worth $20 but I'm happy with the price I paid because I've already got a lot of play time with it. inb4 "sheep"
-
You can play the strike before Friday. I've done it twice now
-
Well apart from your never ending attacks to your commentors. Your constant bitching will never get you a refund. This isn't walmart. This it's a game and some others just as well as bungie offered you a TOS and an agreement for you to accept and acknowledge. And as for you calling ever one else ignorant it is you who is not willing to learn. You pressed (X) or (A) depending on what console you play on, to that little terms of service every single game maker and big corporation like Sony and Microsoft because it is thier game console thier content and we the gamers seem to forget time and time again that we have no rights on thier product and for us to play nice.
