You can get a refund for the expansion > [http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/83678452/0/0]
This DLC was NOT worth $20. 3 missions, a strike that we can't play until Friday, a raid that we can only do on one difficulty until SOME time in January, and some new guns/armor. It only took my friend and I 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete all the missions, and the Playstation exclusive strike. We aren't even level 30. Now we get to wait until friday to buy "The Urn of Sacrifice" from Xur before we can do the new strike (Nightfall/Heroic).
In many other games, this would be just a regular update, not something we have to pay $20 for. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and went to the midnight release, so I got the Expansion Pass with everything. Had I purchased a regular copy of Destiny without the Expansion Pass and seen what this The Dark Below added, I would have NEVER wasted $20 on it.
I will be calling customer support tomorrow afternoon demanding a refund for this DLC.
[Edit] I pre-ordered my copy of Destiny (Collectors Edition), and got it at the midnight release. At this time, there was absolutely NO information as to the contents of The Dark Below nor any other future DLC. Since I purchased the Collectors Edition of the game, I received the Expansion Pass when I got the game (at the midnight release for those of you who can't keep up). So for those of you who keep commenting "the content of the DLC was available before it was released. you knew what you were buying", I clearly had no way of knowing what The Dark Below would include when I received my Expansion Pass.
So stop making these useless comments, you're only making yourself look like an idiot.
And for those of you who keep mentioning the Nightfall, stop. The strike has literally 0% to do with the point I'm trying to make. Those of you who can't seem to figure out my point in this (which seems to be a lot of you), my point is that for the content we received with this DLC, we shouldn't have had to pay for it. This is content that should have been in the game from the start, or it should have been given to us free of charge. The ONLY part of this Expansion that would be worth any sort of money would be the 3 Crucible maps, and those should have been a DLC of their own. This way, those of us who don't give a rats-ass about the Crucible wouldn't have to pay for something we don't want.

What do you want us to say?

How much does a movie cost? $20? For about an hour and a half of entertainment! The dark below contains many hours of entertainment and fun! Just stop moaning
-
Why post about this? Do you believe it will help getting a refund? Is it enjoyable to disagree with everyone who comments to the contrary? Just asking because I am curious what the motivation is. Sorry you don't like the expansion.

Edited by Cromica: 12/10/2014 4:42:12 PMYou would pay for pvp maps but not an amazing strike and awesome raid. Something wrong with this one.

Wait to do the nightfall? Umm noo do the Eris bounties all of them and you can do the strikes and the nightfall. Noob. And the dlc is certainly worth $20

This type of post is why I'm slowly losing faith and interest in the forums.

Wat? You don't have to wait until Friday to do the nightfall lmfao

Did the new story, Weekly, and Nightfall missions last night, and got some cool new gear to play with. Still have yet to do the Raid and already the new content is easily worth $20. Cheaper than going to a movie with popcorn.
-
You don't need to complete the urn of whatevers to do the last strike. You just need to complete the mission where you need to kill the three people on earth.
-
You realize going to the movies is like 13 bucks right? Do you expect to get a refund if you pay to see a bad movie?

What strike is unavailable until Friday?

Edited by VyersReaver: 12/10/2014 4:26:08 PMI played the strike somehow, maybe the problem is in you? And how is this
a strike that we can't play until Friday
was not the point, IF YOU STARTED THE SECOND SENTENCE WITH IT.

You are so stupid i did the nightfall last night

Peasant.

Funny, I did the nightfall last night. With that being said though, I did play through all the content, raid excluded, in about three hours. So $6.67 and hour isn't a bad cost. And I got a sweet ass sparrow to go with it.
-
...you can have it back in Bungie -Bucks . Wanna bet what those are? I'll give you a hint....but you need to leaning over to get it.....
-
You can't have it back, bitch
-
I also want to point out that the DLC cost the same that day as it did when I bought the season pass yesterday. I (like most people I assume) waited to see what the DLC would include before purchasing it. If you didnt then you cant really complain about it. That is an issue YOU have with the way YOU spend money. It isnt anyone elses problem. The fact that you purchased something that was an additional 50% of the games original cost without any knowledge of it is simply ignorant. And the only person to blame is yourself.
-
You can play the strike once you finish the Eros missions except the xur one. Stop being an ignorant loser.

Buyer beware is the general rule when you are buying things in the U.S. you can only get your money back if the item is faulty or it was false advertisement. You decide to buy it before they announced what was in it.
