Thoughts on weekly requiring DLC

UPDATE Activision says its just this week and that the first week DLC comes out this may happen. Would have been smarter to say this BEFORE making such a drastic decision. Corporate communications 101 - Prevention is always better than reaction. -- Original post below -- Logged on to the app this morning to check out the new gear from vendors including Eris and legendaries then look at the weekly nightfall and heroic. Quite surprised it is the new DLC Omnigul strike. Yes, it came out yesterday and they want many of us to buy it BUT weeklies are the only guaranteed way to earn strange coins! While I understand the desire to promote the DLC, it seems unfair to remove an option that has become ingrained in the Destiny economy, worse with needing the coins to upgrade exotics at Xur this weekend (everyone wants a stronger gun even if they don't have the DLC). I was planning to get the DLC anyway but I feel like I'm being unfairly punished this week for not getting it yet. Am I alone on this or am I taking strange coins too seriously and should just go shoot some Hive?

 • I can see why they did it, got to promote the new content, so I'll let it slide. Now, if this a permanent deal, I'll be much more upset. Not everyone is planning on getting the DLC anytime soon, or in some cases, at all. LIke David states, it has become part of the weekly routine...do the weekly, nightfall, then every thing else. Guess we'll have to wait and see until next week...
