they mis-labeled it. yet again bungie over hyped the launch of DLC by calling it an expansion. If they'd have called it DLC and dropped the price, plus un-bundled the PVP maps and sold them seperately Id have been a much happier guardian. The story doen't tie in, or expand, or interact in any way with the main story line. The Eris story is interesting enough, but it doesn't justify the price of the DLC. That and no cinematics, apart from the launch one, and ghost doesn't say a thing during any missions, making me feel disconected from the missions, making it more of the same, kill shit missions. there are more exotics, and items, and vendors stock new stuff, but everyone gets them 230 items added to a DB is alot, but where is the added value in having those items to me available to everyone? Did I just pay for the Queens Wrath 2.0 event? It certainly wasn;t expansive, 2 new corridors filled with enemies and a strike that as soon as comes up, I will quit out of it. As I have said many times before the launch of DLC, the content hangs on the raid. I have not played the raid yet, but i'm sure that I will be underwhelmed by the experince given the astounding lack of new story missions in the "expansion". I am disapointed, but not surprised, given that this is not the same Bungie that created the Halo series. I pre-ordered this game based off of E3 2013 and the Bungie "Pedegree". Played the Beta, and was annoyed that i could play through the content there in a few hours. I should have noped the blam out there, but I listened to my peers saying that it will have much more content. As a fan of this game, I am confused as to why it itsn;t actually better than an average game. if expansion 2 comes this sparsly populated with new added content, then the 10 year franchise will be a resounding failure. I for 1 an waiting for reviews of a D2 and it better be 9/10 for me to by it a full price. It better have more and varied content (read cohesive story, and better story missions) and not be a total of 6-8 hours play time. Maybe i;m disapointed that they used the dlc to cash and distract us from the problems of the game with glitter and mis-direction instead of fixing the issues that have been there since day 1. ie the story not making sense. its barely the bones of a plot. sorry for the wall of text, but am really upset that I pre-ordered this game, and bought an expansion pass. :(

  • You've given voice to some of my concerns. This 'expansion' feels more like an 'event' than a serious development of the existing game. Like I said, the shooting and graphics are awesome, but the game just feels empty. I enjoy playing the game, but the grind is staring to irritate me ... mainly because the lack of a variety of content to play. It is the same thing over and over. Even PvP is predictable. Players run to the same points all the time.

  • agreed that the mechanics of the game are supper awesome, the graphcs and vistas are great to look at. Why cant we explore the city at the foot of the tower? I'm with you that playing grinding the Vault to get to level 30, and collecting all the exotics and grimoire cards extended the life of the game, but yes grinding the same content day in and day out is starting to feel less like fun, especially with better games coming on the horizon. Its like my life, the same content and disapointing new content :)

  • I've given up doing the strikes now. They are just so boring. PvP is still engaging for now. I think I'll switch when a better game comes out.

  • i find PVP to be a complete cockfest as of late. No features in there what so ever. private matchmaking, voting on maps, lobbys, ability to kick wanks, etc etc. features I would expect in a modren shooter good players are down leveling their gear to get matches. I find match making to be broken as of late. I get slaughtered 9 out of 10 matches. It recently got chat enabled, but no-one uses it, as we are so used to playing without it. the rewards do not maximise my play time of this game. again its the same maps, the same grind. winning or losing doesn't really matter, so is there a point? The whole PVP game is another example of a good game not living up to its potential. In retrospect a weeks grind in iron banner did not get me any weapons that i wanted, and it didn't get me to 30. It just anoyed me that I did the grind, only yet again to be blamed in the ass by bungie, cause now everyone can get to 31 by buying. on top of all that put Commendations, a way of artifically slowing your progress to a new higher light level, and slowing your progress getting weapons. I can get commendations faster than i can get marks, and can;t even buy 1 piece a week now. And the cherry on the cake is the changes to exotics, and i;m just about done with the game, which is a shame, cause it is the best, sub average game i've played.

  • I have to agree with everything you and @Lord Yesua have said. As much as I want to like this game, I'm starting to like it less and less. I already have limited to time to play as it is being that I'm enrolled in 3 AP courses in my school, and getting on to "play" really means a grind fest for me. This game has so much potential yet they neglect what this game really could be. They can sit here and tell us how good the next Destiny game will be, but when nobody buys it then they'll see why. I'm absolutely sick and tired of developers putting no care or effort into their games to make it worthily for the consumer. I rarely even have fun anymore as I grind through missions in hopes of getting the things I want. It's not that I don't mind working for things, but it's when I have to do mindless grinding only to have a CHANCE of getting the item I want. Hell, even grinding in Warframe was a lot more fun than this.
