Starting From Scratch: Restarting Armor & Pointless Legendary Items?

Destiny should add another upgrade to exotics.

Destiny should make you start over on exotics.

First thing's first, the dark below has made our old armor pointless. We now have to buy vanguard armor over again just for some extra light to get to thirty which isn't the best thing Bungie could have done. They could have just added an extra upgrade slot to the vanguard/faction/crucible armor we had. The same goes for the gun. It was pointless if you bought them before unless you didn't get the expansion or were just doing it for the VoG, but now the VoG is just for fun. This is making us start from scratch. Next, restarting exotics? I recommend that Bungie change this. I was mad about this, but the new legendary gear on top of that almost made me quit that game, but my brother bought me The Dark Below and I didn't want it to be a waste of money. Again, Bungie/Activision/the individual who came up with this should have just gave us an extra upgrade Defense/Damage slot. Again, we're starting from scratch. This is such a waste of shards and energy that we have used. I understand that we don't have to use shards and energy with the exotics now, but the hardest part for me is leveling up the different upgrades with experience unless I do bounties. I do realize that we will get to a higher level with the upgrades, it's just that most of our grinding, leveling, and farming was pointless. I've calculated and tested the light levels, and I will drop from a level 28 to a level 25. I don't have time for grinding, I have school and a life, so I just want to get the community's view on things. Maybe even some of Bungie's members' views on things.
