Personally, I can get past most of these points... Before I continue, I should also mention that i'm somewhere between a casual and hardcore gamer, I've put 49 hours into destiny for reference. The game expands, Bungie spends a lot of money developing and supporting the game, and we should be thankful for no subscription service that i'll bet was considered to further push it towards an "MMO" I'll buy it, and i'll enjoy it. I don't really care if its recycled content or whatever everyone is complaining about. It's ultimately content that you have to pay to access, this is the nature of expansions/DLC. You are tempted into buying the content by being able to see what you are missing (hence the weekly/daily missions being limited to DLC owners). I will agree however that it is expensive; $20 for any "expansion" is expensive and thus will generate a high expectation which for many gamers, it unfortunately does not meet. This is likely in line with other MMO's pricing for their expansions, however Destiny's is marginally cheaper (likely as it isn't an MMO and Bungie are almost capitalising on this). The one thing that angered me however is the fact its £20 (GBP) for me. $20 does NOT equal £20. £20 is closer to $30. I'm not entirely sure who is in charge of the pricing (Sony or Bungie) but they need to be shot, and it worries me as it's almost a "test of the water" - I fear more games and DLC's will follow suit and just match the $ price. Nevertheless, people should just try and enjoy the game rather than ranting. But of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, and when people aren't happy, they like to voice it.

  • People earn different salaries in the US and the UK. Prices are different and are usually equalized according to Purchasing Power Parity principle. Have that in mind as you cannot just compare those numbers with another.

You should not have to "try" and enjoy a game. A game should be fun full stop. I respect your view point but i feel you have turned your hobbie from somthing you do for fun. To somthing that just fills the time. If that makes any sense. I'm bad with my words 😕 Edit damit this went under the wrong person.... sorry
