Easy First Chest - Crota's End Video
As the description in the video says:

Drop into Crotas End, run forward on the platform, take the first left and then run straight until you hit a door.
DO NOT STOP RUNNING until you reach the door/chest.
The light above the door needs to be on, if its not, then you will probably be best to just drop off the ledge/get killed and try again.

I done this about 3 hrs ago and after 5-6 tries the light came on and BAM there it was. I got the upgraded red death (which I don't much care for) and some radiant shards!! either way I am glad I done it.. THANKS for sharing. I'm just not a pulse rifle kinda guy..
