VoG is still nice for farming the Ascendant materials, in an hours time you can still walk out of there with a 16 to 20 piece mixed bag of them.

you can only use them to upgrade vendor gear/weapons, so you only need a couple and I got 100's of them already. I have probably killed my last oracle yesterday...
