Yes, but time played does equal time played. I don't think you can be "Cheated out of your money" if you are paying less than fifty cents per hour of play. I don't think that anyone who plays Korean MMOs claims that Korean MMOs are a horrid value. ( I honestly have no idea though because I am not exactly sure what a Korean MMO is and in what ways it differs from any other MMO.)

  • There is a lack of content in this game. Time played does not mean there is a ton of content or enjoyment for that matter. Just like in a Korean MMO it's just grinding the same things over and over again. Having to grind the same thing constantly just so you can get to the fun parts isn't enjoyable. It's mind-numbingly boring. There is fun to be had in this game but it's buried under a pile of grinding.

  • That may be the case, but equating that to being cheated out of your money is hyperbolic at best.

  • It is a cheat imho. Compare Destiny expansion one with the downloadable content for Skyrim and Oblivion. The expansions for those games were literally massive, new stories, new quests, massive new spaces, new enemies. Destiny gave us an 'event', charged us £20 for it, and had the audacity to call it an expansion. Btw, I'm not a destiny hater. I enjoy the game. I just think it has the potential to be so much better. Surely you would like to see more story and mission content and greater variety to make the grind more bearable? Don't you want to have 6 new PvP maps, 5 new strikes, 10 new story missions? Or are you opposed to seeing the game improve?

  • Its not even the amount of content, but the quality of the content. If it was three well presented, longer story missions, that actually tied into a longer strike in a completely new area(as opposed to just saying hey this annoying character is back, we tied it together!) and like 5 new PvP maps. I would have at least accepted that since the gameplay of the DLC was generally fun. Its too bad they just couldn't put the effort into what they were planning to offer. Even that amount isn't exactly an true expansion, but I'd have taken it...

  • Wasn't Oblivion expansion 1 horse armor? That is kind of beside the point. Compare it with a Call of Duty or Battlefield expansion. For said 20 pounds you received a raid, a plethora of new armor and weapons (with functional and cosmetic differences), 3 new multiplayer maps, 2 new strikes, a new character to give bounties, several new bounties, and a few story missions. Of course I want all of those things, and I am sure that I will get them as well. That is a funny comparison you draw there. I am not a Destiny hater either, I love the game. I would love to see MORE of the game. I just don't think I have been cheated. As far as I can tell that may be the only point where we disagree. I am happy with the game I have been playing for 150 hours and am loving every aspect of it, and want more. Your opinion is more complex.

No, horse armor was a download and cost a couple dollars, and was expensive at that - it was heavily criticized at the time. The expansion was I think knights of the nine, for $10. Call of Duty is a very bad comparison, nobody SHOULD buy maps for prices like that, not when they could just wait and buy a new game for the cost of 12 maps.

  • Correction, we were given 1 new raid. Our old gear (which is what those hours of game played were spent grinding, just to try to feel some sense of completionwith this game) is rendered obsolete by merchant gear. Yes we get new bounties...on the exact missions we've been playing since day 1, except this time we run them backwards. A new strike that is hardly a strike, 10 mins to complete? And half the original game will be locked if you don't buy the dlc. What a great expansion! They've issued hotfixes with the same amount of content...

  • I don't see how that is a correction? I said "For 20 pounds you received a raid . . ." I was honestly given nothing. I purchased all of the content. Which hotfitx included 2 new strikes? I must have missed that one.

Navarp You sure have a lot to say, are you a bungie troll? Explain making current equipment obsolete? How does that enhance game play? Instead of just adding simple upgrade to current equipment, they create a knew upgrade tree with exotic shards because they need to create a new faux market for strange coins. And what are motes of light good for now, sure glad I didn't save up 50 or 60 of those. And lets eliminate using all those resources (we accumulated during grinding) from being used as vanguard or cruxible marks. Lack of consistent direction and value for equipment acquired is nonsense...

  • I think the horse was just a dlc pack for preordering. The expansions added around 6-10 hours each for their main story alone. Side quests and exploration are always ridiculous in the TES games though.

  • According to the Wiki the first DLC pack for Oblivion was Horse Armor. It cost $2.00 and allowed you to change what your horse looked like in game. There is no functional change in the game except what your horse looks like. Also I will bet that people play more that 15 hours on Crota's end alone, but that is just speculation.

  • Just $2 though, and I bet not a single person who didn't buy it was hampered from their game in any way shape or form from playing the main game. Bungie did not extend that courtesy. I'm not bitching there cuz I have the DLC, just making a point
