PSA: The Devil You Don't - Field Scout
Anyone discouraged by the fact that a previously beastly handcannon (TDYK) had it's clip reduced to 5 shots? I wasn't going to even level it (Nightfall drop fyi), but considering I had nothing else to level in the primary slot I figured why not?
So I blew through the upgrades doing the DLC on 3 guys, got to the last damage upgrade column before I actually unlocked any of the upgrades. I saw field scout and expected maybe a 6-9 clip at best. How much do you actually get?

Don't overlook this gun based on it's small initial clip size. IMO TDYK had better final perk (crowd control vs final round) but TDYD is still a very good gun. TDYK fans will not be disappointed.

I just got one but haven't leveled it yet. My DYD rolled Rangefinder, Field Scout and Luck in the Chamber. Would you guys suggest levelling it up or just stick with my Word of Crota?

2 RepliesI have 2 dropped like that so far - really happy because I had a TDYK on each character ... Levelled up one fully- here are my thoughts- I love the super fast reload on tdwd- its snappy and a flip of the wrist.13 bullets is essential. 8 and above is really all you need. Might be in my head but the gun seems to do the same damage as tdyk.... Low impact versus a 31 hike in attack - maybe 31 attack is insignificant compared to the impact and range factors. Still, it great to have a handgun that snaps a super quick reload as long as you have done some damage on the last shot prior to reload. The field scout means my handgun ammo is around the 110 mark which used to take me at least some boots to get that much ammo. Its good. esp on a gunslinger load out. I also dropped a 8 shot dead orbit legendary which has good range and luck in the chamber, so will level that up for my titan. I really want the FWC hand cannon because it now has field scout. 13 in the mag. Maybe more range and good reload? heres hoping!

3 RepliesThis gun has the highest aim assist of any hand cannon in the game. With field scout its a keeper. I like the feel of this gun better than the other vendor ones... Haven't gotten the red hand yet. That has the second highest aim assist. The only issue I have with TDYD is the range.

Got lucky with my drop seeing as I got Clown Cartridge and Field Scout. When Clown Cartridge procs I end up with a 16 round magazine. Now if only I had Outlaw.
