I understand where you're coming from, but I think the problem was how they went about doing it. Forcing everybody to wait several days for an unknown reward, leaving time for rumors and speculation about it being this holy grail. Then when you get the reward, it's no better than what most people already have and can buy from any vendor in the tower. Only thing is it looks unique.

And ppl who haven't gotten the dlc will be much more upset if they were handing out free cool items just for buying. They already give us a sparrow, a fusion rifle a mark and the gauntlets. Some people just don't appreciate things (granted I do agree the dlc is lacking in actual content, just more quests to repeat things over and over). Me personally I like having different sets of armor with different abilities because I use most of my weapons and armor. But someone who doesn't even use scouts probably feels shafted. I'm glad I got the auto rifle gauntlets first though now I need the pulse and the hand cannon and I will have a set to boost the reload of any of my weapons except heavy.

Fair enough. Me, I just kept that thing in my bounties slot, with no expectations, lol. I figured it would just earn me more xp, so I'll accept some welfare gloves and throw them on my alt until he gets his own raid gear. I guess the whole "talk to Xur" part was unnecessary. People need to quit hyping themselves up though and just enjoy the game for what it is. In my opinion.
