It's nice for all the people who weren't able to buy new vendor arms before the weekend, I guess.
I bought all my new vendor gear first day, so this was kind of a waste for me (the vendor arms have better perks for my play style), but I'm not mad; I actually enjoyed these Story "Quests" as opposed to the traditional Story "Missions," since the Quests had actual game mechanics in them that weren't just defend Dinklebot/a specific point (example, the very first "Quest" introduces you to "The Weight of Darkness" effect, which is very vital to know about for the raid).
Despite what people think or say, the "Quests" are clear evidence Bungie is trying to work on and implement better game mechanics for the story related activities. I have to agree, the "Quests" (NOT the "Missions") were a very nice breath of fresh air, and I hope they do more of these in the future.
