I just find this whole "you can only do it when Xur is here" thing very strange. I need to work a lot on weekends and I have not much time to even visit Xur for exotics and upgrades. Now also story content in the dlc is 'weekend only' where it needs to be weekend to start and to finish the quest. Of course I could wait a week to either start or finish it again, but it just doesn't make sense for me why some people are cut off. Luckily I already have 31 gauntlets but I would have prefered to get the gauntlets for 'free' when I actually had some time during the week when the dlc arrived and also had fun with the quest line.
