I did the Thrall solar kills and suicide Thralls a little differently. On the new mission The Wakening, there is a bit just before you get to The World's Grave bridge where there is a Shrieker in the room and a few Cursed Thralls milling about. kill them all and the door will open, and waves of Cursed Thralls will sprint at you. These are (so far as I can tell) infinitely respawning so you can do both stages without needing to go anywhere else or returning to orbit.
For the first stage just fire Murmur into the pack. You will typically only get one or two drops from the whole pack because the chain explosion isn't counted as a Fusion Rifle kill, but this doesn't matter, you'll still go through the bounty in a few minutes as they respawn so quickly.
For the exploding Thralls stage stay in the doorway so that the Thralls can still see you and charge toward you, but then back up til you're almost out of the room and the pack of Thralls will split up to look for you, simply pick the closest one, shoot it once in the leg with your primary, then punch it in the face. If you have done it correctly and are at least lvl 28, you won't die.
Also for the step where you kill 100 Acolytes, I recommend The Rocketyard on Earth patrol, they respawn at just the right time so you have a constant supply.
