Agree! Bump! The exotic 'upgrade' system is stupid. They should have added damage upgrades and a new perk to the existing tree for exotics. The current system feels like a regress.
Legendary engrams should definitely drop more often. I am sick of dismantling blues and greens.

Now I think on it another big issue for me is the way bungie communicates with the community is more or less the polar opposite of what we see in-game. Yes they sorted the cryptarch out a bit, but they just moved the goal posts there, instead of dropping purples more often that decode into blues, we just hardly ever see purples drop so it was basically a pointless change.
