Why don't you take the time to read this entire thread! You will see its filled with exactly those folks who enjoyed that "stupid feature." Not all players are like you. You're a Bungie clone in this regard ,IMO.

Wtf is a Bungie clone my opinion is mine alone how about you take your generic opinion (at best) and grow up. Don't tell me this is you're first forum post either lol.. Way to necro a two week old thread. But since you want a response here. Yes a good amount of people used the feature but a good amount of people never even knew the feature exsisted. The removal of this feature doesn't stop any one from getting gear. Fact. Of the people who actually used the feature the majority wanted to avoid pvp all together.. Fact. This clearly wasn't the means in which bungie wanted players to obtain PVP gear emphasis on the word PVP. If anything the feature was there to aid in gaining marks with participation in the game mode. It wasn't meant to be used as an opt out feature. This goes both ways for vanguard marks as well. It is a common thing in games that have pvp and pve gear require that you actually play the game mode to get the gear.. Wow, crazy concept isn't it? Final Thoughts: All these changes aren't game breaking instead it made Destiny even more of a grinder at both ends. At the end of the day Raid gear will always be top tier, vanguard and cruicble gear are just stepping stones. Making this topic extremely irrelevant. /

okay say your right and the faction gear is for pvp players only... then why have patrols for those factions? If I am a scout rifle pve player and I want new monarchy legs to go with my vanguard chest so I can carry and reload my scout rifle faster I had a way to earn those marks by gathering materials while out on patrol and then exchanging them for mark and rep. My rep is low for crucible and will never get to the point I can buy crucible gear weapons or armor. that was not the point though I would have liked to eventually. There were some that fit in my weapon, skill preferences. But I mixed and matched pre-dlc the gear I wanted by exchanging those materials. So did the majority of my clan. This economy change chased the last of them away. The only reason I haven't walked as well is I bought the DG edition with all the bells and whistles. But I can no longer get faction gear as I will never earn a crucible commendation, nor do I have a way to exchange a infinite resource for a finite one.

I have to disagree with you on several points. The new system does stop people from getting Faction gear if they don't want to play PvP. Yes, can play Crucible, but what if they don't like Crucible. Or if they just want a piece of Faction gear for the appearance? Bungie is now forcing them to play when they didn't used to do so. If you want to call Crucible gear "PvP gear," fine, but it's not as if the perks are significantly different anyway. I can agree on one point however. Bungie made this change to make the game require even more grinding. That seems to be the core logic behind a lot of changes.

For those that don't care for PvP, why should we? Just because you think that doesn't mean we agree. And there and TONS of us. Maybe if Bungie made a decent online arena worth playing in, more of us would join in. But for now? Pointless. And this was the one way we could still get legendary vendor gear without being forced into the crucible. Bungie claimed you could play this game however you wanted, then limited everyone to their narrow idea of it

Then agree to disagree. I'm gonna say this for the last time since I will no longer be replying to this thread. If the developer doesn't like what they see they can change it as they see fit, it's their game.

Please don't get me wrong! I LOVE PvP in COD! I've been playing COD from way back in the day, but Destiny screwed this version of PvP up so bad I refused to play it... and Destiny forces you to play it in order to get an exotic weapon or to get crucible marks to buy shit from most of the vendors and I HATE it so much. that's why I agree that the players should have the options for both marks for materials and Materials for marks, it's not a stupid ideal just another option!
