So just before I was headed to bed tonight I popped on the forums to see if I could get a quick checkpoint on Aetheons on normal and get a quick loot drop. With my maxed Gjallarhorn it's usually pretty quick as long as I have decent teammates. I get into a fireteam of two 29's and four 30's (myself included.) we literally spawn in, Venus once, Mars once, and Venus again and aetheon is toast. The smoothest run I've ever had and it was with a fireteam of 6 randoms. As I wait for the drop I have low expectations, I got raid gear, gjallarhorn, Praedyths revenge, epilogue last week in raids and was still so happy from that. Well then -blam!-, my first ever Suros Regime drops and I'm ecstatic. I've been wanting one forever, because I bought the game after the last weekend xur sold it. All of us were amazed how seamless it was. Since our chemistry was so good we all agreed to try our luck on hard. It took a few more attempts but our final try we killed him in two teleports and then shit I get my first Vex Mythoclast and another raid helmet. The two guns I've been grindig for, dropped in the span of 20 min. Big thanks to my fireteam. Nice to meet cool people on this forum and kick some ass. Hopefully all of you have a lucky day like this soon. EDIT: I should've mentioned that this was only my second Hard mode completion and I think my 8th Normal mode.
