Your first sentence explains why this thread should not have been started. They patched the exploits in VOG, but never fixed the problems with the actual mechanics. Teleported with detainment, health regenerating minotaur, relic holder losing super during atheon fight, can't move in detainment during templar fight, and probably more than I can't think of. None of these are fixed.
I frankly don't care how you, your friends or your grandma beats the raid. Cheese the living shit out of it for I care, as long as it has all the gameplay glitches worked out.
You stated you haven't played the new raid yet. Therefore, you have absolutely no idea how frustrating it is to have Crota down to a sliver of health and have the sword glitch so you can't pick it up and have to wipe. Or how about a whole fireteam of 6 with 50 mbps + connections lagging like a bunch of COD players in the boss fight.
Bungie, put the cheese methods on the side burning, and please fix the actual problems with not only Crota's end, but VOG as well. Some of use still like to go back and have a relaxing VOG run for fun still. lol

i Re-read this post with the knowledge that you hasn't even tried the raid yet unlike the first time I read it. Wow do you sound like a complete douche. You're literally trying to control how everyone plays a game that you haven't even attempted.

I sound like a dick here, I know this. lol I'm really not. It's just frustrating knowing that bungie with use all there fixes on the exploits and never fix the real problems just like VOG. Peace out and go to the recruitment thread to play this shit already slacker.

So a couple things I would like to add to the discussion. 1st - The dude is entitled to his opinion. That being said I think he's wrong. I like to have the option of doing things the easy way when I don't have the time to spend and do it the more challenging way when I do have the time and the ambition. 2nd. Due to the random drop of gear in the raid, you are actually encouraged to do the raid as often and quickly as possible. If you have a job and family you may not have the 4 hours to spend to get through with a mish-mash crew of whoever you could get including the 12 year old you had to mute after 30 minutes or go mad. The kicker is, you may spend the hours on the raid and get sharded ( a lot like shafted) whether you did it the long way or the short way. If you were guaranteed gear of a certain type when you finished something I could agree it would feel like I earned it but I may have done the raid half a dozen times just to get one piece of armour I need so I feel I earned that SOB several times over by the time I get it. Before we get all purist we need to remember the dynamics of the game. Once I have all my level 32 gear I can get picky about the type of raids I want to do, until then I got to roll with the crew I've got and hope something good drops.

Crota health regen, popping back up from knee immediately, sword bearer spawning delayed a ton.... These are some biggies in my eyes. How bout the oversoul absorbing a dozen rockets and not dying. Glitches that cause a team wipe are the real biggies that need fixing.

lol, awesome. Some kid gets his panties in a knot because a group of people cheesed crota and he doesn't feel that's how the game should be played, yet he's not even tried the raid!?!? lmao. Mom! Some gamers in a game I play cheesed a raid boss and got loot from him and it only took so many minutes to do it! Well dearest johnny, whats wrong with that? MOM! I haven't even done the raid yet! they can't be doing that, it's not fair, they took the easy way! Do something about it mom!

The raid designer actually did say at Vegas for the dark below "trial" that there is so many bug in the VoG that they will not release anymore update for VoG.

So true, and my thing is if they want to make it so freaking hard, then have it to were we get at least something good out of it like i remember when i went through Vog on hard for the first time i got nothing but shards and energy and it took us a while to beat and all that work and accomplishment got me nothing. Idk i have plenty of other issues with it but not gonna go into detail. Lol

There's nothing wrong with patching the exploits. There is an issue if they fix exploits quicker than they fix bugs and actual glitches. They fixed the templar exploit yet there are still times 2 people get ported when everyone's alive.

Ding ding ding!! Thread winner. Cheese gets addressed but catastrophic glitches NEVER are. Then we end up with parts that become hours to pass, transforming a 2 hour event into 6 or 8 if you can ever beat it. Not the way this should go but tell that to the elitelists.

You're right. Personally, my fireteam and I beat him on all 3 characters (even a couple members brought in their 29s for the 3rd time, no problem) and we didn't even know about these "cheeses". I'm not going to use them because there is no part that is hard enough or time consuming enough that I would even think about cheesing. I understand some people suck though, and if they use some of these cheeses, I really don't care. But it is funny when some kid feels the need to be the Raid Gestapo and act like Bungie's little personal Snitch to call out all of the skrubs. I don't know who's worse: the skrubs that need these tactics, or the snitches that report them.

Thanks for the backhanded support... You think people who cheese are scrubs? I bet I'm better as some aspects of this game than you are. I'm sure some of the other cheeses are as well. That doesn't make you a scrub if I have better aim than you do or I have better jumping and float skills. The point of the whole raid thing was to be able to work together (if you believe bungies bullshit) and the cheeseing takes team work believe it or not. So what bungie SAID they want and what they REALLY want are two different things. What they want is for people to play this broken, boring, repetitive, unfair game for more hours than humans should ever spend playing a video game, in the hopes that they will want more content because they are bored with the current content. Every change, patch and fix bungie has done has been in service of making you GRIND more and more. Add more meaningless tasks, to keep you playing longer. That is what it's about for them.

Bungie has fixed bugs in VoG. Just not every single one. And the exploits are just as important as the bugs. Both should be fixed. If you don't like it then "GTFO."

At least with the cheats people are working together, which is what the raid is meant to be. No, bungie just wants you playing longer in their broken game... They cheesed US all with the DLC that was on the disk... DLC download was 108KB on my xbox 360... Who is really taking short cuts? I would say bungie....

While I agree with you that both should be fixed, bugs should be fixed before exploits. VOG still has a lot of bugs btw but most of them are on HM and with 6 completions I don't think you've done it enough to experience the utter chaos that ensues when it happens again and again and again. I had a chance to beat crota (legit) and let me tell you, he is a tough sob. There are many bugs that my group ran into and they cause a wipe right off the bat. These need to be fixed first.

Do you know English? I stated "Bungie has fixed bugs in VoG." Where on earth does that mean they fixed all of them? You can go look at their backlog. They have posted in bulletins what things they have fixed in VoG. Thus proving my statement correct.
