I'm of the opinion that Bungie could do much better on what we, the players, are allowed to do via the website features for the game.
At the moment, at best we can do is equip a weapon or armor piece (as long as it's in our character inventory), browse what bounties we have and what's available from the bounty desk. And look at our inventory.
That's it.
Yeah, some stats are tracked, which is a given seeing as how it's not in the game itself so it must be Somewhere right?
But why don't we have better features yet? Such as the ability to mix and match our subclass features? How about selecting weapon perks?
Hell, you can't even see a graphical image of weapons and armor that are in your Vault space.
We also don't get to see the actual rewards for bounties. Just a description and what you need to do. The information on Raid, Nightfall Strike, Heroic weekly Strike and the Heroic Daily Mission all have the bare minimum of information. We don't know what Bonus's are on the Nightfall. We don't see possible rewards for any of these. It's rather sad actually, considering Bungie was all about a big piece of this game being on the website.
Maybe I'm spoiled by how DICE does their website for the Battlefield Battlelog. But that website just works so wonderfully well in regards to tracking all the information you, the player, want to keep on top of.
I can spend hours (and I do spend hours) just tinkering with load-outs for my classes in BF4. I can't do a fraction of that for Destiny.
I'm not saying the website for Destiny should mimic BF's, but I think Bungie could learn a thing or two from how their Battlelog is laid out for the players.
I'm throwing this out there in hopes Someone see's it. The Destiny website needs major work. And the options it gives us players should be expanded upon.
