The Exotics... The Rule of Three

Sorry for the complaint Bungie. Im a lifelong fan of the franchise, but this upgrade system is a serious bummer. I love Destiny. I got the white PS4 bundle and bought the expansion pass. I have put hours into my character and now have three a lvl 30, 26, and 22. Each a different class, race, and gender. I have a total of 13 exotic items. This all took me a lot of time and took up most of my recovery time after some recent surgeries. But now having to upgrade these weapons and start all the way over is disheartening at the least. I made it a mission to fully upgrade all of them. My Hawkmoon and Patience and Time took so long just for those two. I've fully upgraded 6 so far. Now, this system is confusing. So far I've done 6 exotics my Red Death (also annoyed Bungie changed its badass description wtf?!) is the only on in which I've used an exotic shard. I did my Red Death around a week before Dark Below launch. This system now asks me now devoid of money to upgrade it. 7000 glimmer, my old red death and yet another exotic shard I believe. Now here's some math as an example of the issue and how desperate I sound. Ex. Say someone had 20 exotics. This is just the # of shards needed to upgrade and fully unlock all of these weapons: 20 exotics= 20 shards to upgrade to higher damage version. 20 exotics= 20 more shards to fully upgrade them completely. So 40 shards in total to upgrade and fully unlock 20 exotic weapons. This is no matter how much ascendant materials, glimmer and time one has put in. So buying these necessary shards costs 7 strange coins each! Now the total strange coins needed to obtain the shards is 40 multiplied by 7. This ends at an astounding total of 280 STRANGE COINS! Buying these again is 23 strange coins which would have an even higher conclusion. Also Being unable to upgrade multiple exotics at a time is deterring. I complain but I also will give a possible resolution. I propose The Rule of Three. One character/player can use 3 exotic items at a time. Either 1 weapon and 2 exotic pieces of armor or 2 exotic weapons and 1 exotic armor. However, one player cannot use 3 weapons or 3 exotic pieces of armor at a time. This would permit leveling speed to double on exotic items for dedicated players who obtained these exotics, the ability to use exotic items without having multiple pieces of back up gear as alternates, and this would fulfill dreams of item combinations that are ruined by that damn yellow item background. I could finally use my Hawkmoon with my Invective. I believe, as a fan that praise and approval would be heard by every Destiny player with finally having that feeling of glee when Xur arrives once again because the weapons you buy will actually get used! Bungie instead of making us start over when we get that upgrade from Xur. Let us upgrade them, but the weapons and armor we receive will be at the same point in the leveling/unlocking process as they were with the previous exotic item. This is my solution if you like it thank you its yours Bungie. If not at least please just get rid of or change this process. This issue has made me lose some of my excitement for the game. I've been dedicated from the beginning. Don't let me feel it was all in vain. Thank you, Hunter C. (psn: Cyanide916)

See what I did there ? 3. Plus as I bumped it was 9th;) great ideas btw. To be be honest , most Exotics don't even feel as such. Bad JuJu? I mean , u. Know!? I'll take Shadow Price any day. BTW, I'll keep up and spread the word on this if u do the same with mine : to get B Robot out of that damn corner by the ship hangar he's been sweeping since the Alpha , I mean , damn, it's swept already . I wanna get him either : 1.on rotation(raking in the courtyard/mopping that damn puddle by the outfitter)or even just walking around from location to location babbling about random crazy stuff. 2.if they won't let him wander about , then give him a bunch , I mean like ALOT of new crazy dialogue . 3.and if they just don't want to take the time , then AT LEAST have them put "B" above him for his name , u know? A little dignity (& personality) would go a long way... so ~ "The Exotic Rule of 3" & "Set B Free Movement" let's get this sh*t done , yeah? Till next time ...
