Next-gen upgrade Xbox 360 > Xbox One for physical pre-order of base game
Greetings - I preordered the base physical game for the Xbox 360 but am moving to the Xbox One in a week or so. Is there a free next-gen digital upgrade path for me? Or, do I simply need to re-buy the game for the One?

Digital download was upgradeable, but I think it had to be digital. Unsure though

1 Replyyeah , bought destiny 4 Xbox 360. Got the season pass too. Got a Xbox oone, had to buy the game again.. lol lucky its an awesome game and I didnt mind.... season pass upgrade no problem.

I'm thinking that you're going to have to....though I really dislike this apparently discrimination over people who actually like to own physical copies of software still. Not everyone has super fast download speeds or even unlimited bandwidth to be able to download their entire library of games in the event of a system failure. I'm in the same boat as you, except I'm looking for information on the PS3 > PS4 upgrade, as I bought the collectors edition and the normal PS4 is still almost 60 bucks at Greedstop..err Gamestop and thats the download version.
