Never said Bungie can't practice it. I Said there's no need to unless you're putting it on physical media that requires a large file size to be smaller. You don't need to compress a file itself if you are sending it through packet filtering (downloading). You compress the whole packet which will then be uncompressed after the download is done. We've been doing this since the 70s. I don't need to know you well to know you don't really understand this stuff, your "facts" are evidence enough of that.
