Weird Whispers Heard in the Game
I am surprised no one else has heard them, but there has been at least two times when I have heard someone whisper a word to me in the game. I don't remember where (maybe Venus?) or what the first one said but I do remember the second one. At the tower, I stopped talking to the Shipwright and was leaping over the twisted cords to the left and heard someone whisper "escape."
Now the first one I heard I was playing with a friend online and he did not hear it. However, the second one my brother was watching me play and heard "escape" too. So maybe only I could hear it on my screen?
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I am a level 26 Hunter and have both the expansion and have completed the main storyline.
Has anyone else heard this?

I've thought I've heard things, but I also play with the volume way down. I do, though, swear that Dregs use the words "Shit" and "Bastard" quite regularly. Had my wife listen and ask her what she heard, and she swore she heard the same thing.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyIt's probably parts of the old story that weren't token out of game cause the original story is the traveler and speaker are evil so a whispering voice telling you to escape would make sense

In the tower i hear whistling all the time, i suspect its supposed to be a bird chirping but it just sounds odd to me

8 RepliesWant to hear creepy? I was wearing a headset once (about 2 years ago, this). Playing an offline game, chatting with a friend that was playing another game. He goes offline, I keep playing and still have the headset on. After about an hour, I suddenly realize I can hear somebody breathing on the headset.... Checked real quick but wasn't in any party, nothing around me in the game making a noise, and when I unplugged the headset it stopped... Creeped me the f*** out...

Yep. I've heard strange whispers 4 or 5 times in the last month of playing. I can never quite make out what was said but it's usually on patrol or strikes. I always play using my A40's, so when it happens im sure that it really does happen. Heard it 2 days ago heading into the hellmouth to complete a bounty. Idk but it is indeed weird. On a side note, I don't get high anymore so no, I wasn't high AF. Lol.
