I tried to play that game on an emulator like a year ago. I seriously must have been an amazing gamer as a little kid because it was way harder than I remember. I even beat it as a kid with the whole edricks armor set or whatever it was

Yeah it was cool. My friends would come over and we would eat pizza and pepsi and take turns grinding the character for experience and gold. Ahhh memories...

Haha, I got the GameBoy Color version of it and was so disappointed that they changed the translation! All the "thou" "thy" etc. was removed, I was sad.
