YOUR WORST LOOT DROP EXPERIENCE!
Seriously, what was the most gut-wrenching, soul-destroying post-game reward scenario you've been in?
Example:
[i]Today, I began a Roc Strike and the rest of my team left. It was the Winter's End strike, so I continued on solo.
I managed to get all the way to the Archon Priest, when two other Guardians joined me. I was happy, cuz I knew it would have been a grind otherwise. 3 minutes later, we kill him.
The reward screen comes up. One of them had 22 kills, and one had 9. I myself had 183 kills. AND WHAT DOES THE 9-ER GET? NO LAND BEYOND![/i]
What is your tale of woe? True story btw.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I didn't have plans to play with NLB, I just wanted it for my collection.
[b]EDIT 2[/b]: To all people who complain about having [i]multiple[/i] exotics, but not the one they want; two things: Get in line, and, Exotic Shards.
[b]EDIT 3[/b]: I bought NLB from Xur while he was here. Still a little miffed, but I feel better now.

My girlfriend got nothing but Chatterwhite for beating Atheon. No shards, no energies, (she had checked the numbers before and after) no weapons, just the shader.

2 RepliesThis past weekend. Helping a Kinder-Guardian (lvl 25) through his first VoG. Every chest and reward for me were Ascendant Shards. No energies. No weapons. No armor. Just shards. Which I don't need (have 150 now). Atheon dies and all I see are shards and a chatter white shader. Energies, I could use. But shards? I have too many now.

Guy gets a .23 kd ratio and literally made our team lose in skirmish and he gets an icebreaker. Then today I go 29-10 with my defender and get a primary weapon legendary engram....gives me two ascendant energy. -blam!-.

Well, got 3 shards beating Crota last week. Before that it was nothing for VoG hard mode completion. Brutal.

2 weeks straight. 6 nightfalls 5 purple snipers then the last word. Before the 331 update.

So it was my first hard VoG pre-TDB of course. Hadn't done the normal one for the week yet. I get to Atheon and after 3-4 wipes we kill him. I see 4 icons show up on the side of the screen. I sit for a split second thinking "time breaker!?(I didn't have one yet) vex Mythoclast?!" Then bam. Aspect of Glass, Glass Minuet, Shards, and Energy. The ultimate troll. Well played Bungie.... well played. -_-

Repeated shards/energy from all Nightfalls and raid chests. Seriously.

2 RepliesI've beaten Crota many times and half of those I got 2 energy. That's it. On top of that when he does give me weapons it's the same two weapons every time. I now have 4 machine guns and 2 shotguns -___- just give me the black hammer already!!

1 Reply- Getting five ascendant shards while a female gamer gets radiant dance machines. - Getting a purifier vii with crap perks while another gets red death. - Getting another purifier vii while another gets dragons breath. - Getting ascendant shards while another gets vex mythoclast. Shit list goes on.......

1 ReplyLast week, i did two nightfalls, two heroics, got to crota on both chars (we never had time to finish him), a tonne of strikes and crucible. I got shards, shards, shards, more shards and a little bit of energy (crota energy when i needed crota shards).... everyone i partied with got exotics from Gjallerhorn to 4th horseman..... It was a painful week.

There was also another time where I solo'd defending the conflux in VOG right after the gatekeepers, destroyed Atheon and someone who i help carry through the raid got Gjallahorn. *shrug* I really want hawkmoon, red death, or Gjallahorn...even tho I have hunger of crota.

Back to back full crotas end. Both chests included. 10 ascendant energies. For those who don't know. That is literally the minimum amount of items you can get out of the raid.

Similar scenario except the person who joined a few mins before the nightfall ended got the Gjallahorn.

So from my first nightfall I got Plan C. That was my only exotic weapon for 2 months. So after about 30 ROC strikes, I got a Plan C 2.0 dropped. Of all the exotics in the game I could get, it gave me the ONE I ALREADY HAD.

2 weeks ago. I did the nightfall with 2 friends. One of them got carried thought it, he usually does, we don't count on him for much. He got Hawkmoon, the 1 exotic I truly want and do not have. I get a Legendary Engram, I take it to the tower and it decrypts into 2 ascendant energy!
