YOUR WORST LOOT DROP EXPERIENCE!
Seriously, what was the most gut-wrenching, soul-destroying post-game reward scenario you've been in?
Example:
[i]Today, I began a Roc Strike and the rest of my team left. It was the Winter's End strike, so I continued on solo.
I managed to get all the way to the Archon Priest, when two other Guardians joined me. I was happy, cuz I knew it would have been a grind otherwise. 3 minutes later, we kill him.
The reward screen comes up. One of them had 22 kills, and one had 9. I myself had 183 kills. AND WHAT DOES THE 9-ER GET? NO LAND BEYOND![/i]
What is your tale of woe? True story btw.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I didn't have plans to play with NLB, I just wanted it for my collection.
[b]EDIT 2[/b]: To all people who complain about having [i]multiple[/i] exotics, but not the one they want; two things: Get in line, and, Exotic Shards.
[b]EDIT 3[/b]: I bought NLB from Xur while he was here. Still a little miffed, but I feel better now.

2 weeks ago. I did the nightfall with 2 friends. One of them got carried thought it, he usually does, we don't count on him for much. He got Hawkmoon, the 1 exotic I truly want and do not have. I get a Legendary Engram, I take it to the tower and it decrypts into 2 ascendant energy!

Though this isn't a personal experience, I went to my friend's house and watched him, his older brother, and another friend of ours carry him in the Nightfall. After several minutes, they finally defeated the Nexus Mind. When the rewards came up, my friend got Dragon's Breath! When this popped up, I heard my other friend's muffled sigh of jealousy and disappointment as he got a Legendary tier Scout Rifle, which he dismantled soon later.

Every run I did on VoG was equally terrible in the loot departmemt.. I got jack so many times that I think my [i]worst[/i] loot runs were the most common >_<

The last three times I beat Crota I got two Radiant Shards each time.

I've gotten ascendant energy from the last 4 legendary engrams in a row, and ascendant shards from the last 3 vanguard rank-up rewards in a row. But I also got fatebringer, dragons breath, black hammer, Gjallarhorn, and red hand ix this month. So I take the good with the bad.

Facade of the Hezen Lords and 6 shards for the full VoG hard raid...gorgon chest didn't give me anything. Just collected emptiness and wallowed in it for the rest of the raid..

4 weeks ago I was being nice to my lvl 27 friend that had to do the nightfall that week while I already did it. I carried him through the whole nightfall and killed Omnigul in 20 mins solo and then he gets a Gjallarhorn and a ticket into the silent treatment zone. At that moment, you could've literally heard my soul shatter into a million pieces

I soloed the Nightfall just now and got a dead orbit AR with full ROF and no impact. Because I use ARs. NOT. GIVE ME HAWKMOON GOD DAMMIT.

1 ReplyI've done VOG over a dozen times on normal and hard... Still haven't got a vex weapon. Got 3 legendary engrams in a week. 2 were rare class items, 1 was common chest piece. I also completed an exotic bounty just as I got kicked because of Lizard Squad, when I managed to get back on, I didn't have the gun and didn't even have the bounty anymore.

6 RepliesBought Truth from Xur, next day I got truth as reward from crucible. Doing the nightfall the next week and get truth, 3rd nightfall reward that week was a legendary engram which turned into (you guessed it) truth. Open the vault of glass chest that week and (wtf) another truth. Jump to the next week opening the VoG chest and another truth. Playing ROC strikes with couple of friends and I get a legendary engram, turn it in and almost quit when I got my seventh Truth since the DLC was released. Obviously the game wants me to use it!

I went 27-10 on Clash, and some other guy went 3-12. I got a shader and an engram. He got a legendary engram.

Did the nightfall on Will of Crota and my friend got 6 strange coins, my other friend got got 10 strange coins and I got a legendary engram.

Yesterday when someone got suros regime from a ROC strike that already had it.... I coulda used it. Frustrating.
