You need to find the right primary weapon and special weapon for yourself. Choose the right abilities is also crucial, like shoulder charge or juggernaut. When I play control, I like to capture (average 3-4 captures per game). So I usually try to clear out the area with an auto rifle and go in with a shotgun in cases I missed anyone hiding in the corner. If you like to hang back and snipe the control points, then I suggest a sniper rifle. You'll probably get 0-1 capture per game but you get a very good K/D spread.
