This is an exploit that they allowed through to their customers. They won't ban anyone for a screw up they made. This was proven by how many people cheeses aetheon and are still paying on to cheesing crota. It kinda just happens in these games

You don't have to alter your network connection. You can simply quit Destiny. You think they're gonna ban people for quitting the game?

It's not a network hack. You pretty much just shut of your router and it has the same effect as disconnecting. Not really a way to fix it far as I know. Who gives a damn anyway. Anyone who actually 100% needs the cheese probably needs to take a break anyway.
