Chill out. There is a reason Bungie delayed the endgame 33 Raid till January. They wanted us all to figure out the raid cheeses so they can patch then before the real raid drops. They will patch all of these methods before hard mode drops, so stop worrying. Crota is not difficult to beat with a good team. Get the timing down and you're good to go. With randoms? Yeah, it's much more difficult than Atheon.

I'll be honest, have done the exploit. My group can easily beat him normally too. Our group tries it sometimes to see if they actually work or not, but we 98% of the time will beat it as intended. Do I deserve a ban? No. I am seeing how others have played the game to compare to my playing style and ultimately it's too easy to take the exploit way. Takes the fun, strategy, and teamwork out of it.

Ok, they are talking about actively changing online code to benefit the player. Which takes a modded system. Using a exploit which EXPLOITS an error with their system THIER SYSTEM. It's not on us. Hey you rev match to shift faster when racing? That's not right bro, I'm gonna get a 5 page long code of conduct page, pretend like I read it and understand it then say "you're in troubleee, you're in troubleee."

Depends on how you interpret it. "You may not cause disruption to or modify or damage any account, system, hardware, software, or network connected to or provided by SEN for any reason, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game." Firstly what is disruption? Technically since everyone is still connected and doesn't experience any sort of lag during the cheese, no one's connection or network is disrupted. This also doesn't really count as an unfair advantage since literally everyone can do it. Lastly, It's PvE. I could understand glitches and exploits in PvP since it gives you an unfair advantage over paying players, but the only thing cheesing Crota does is save you time unless you have a good group. Then you're only saving yourself 5 minutes which isn't a lot of time at all. Coming from a guy who's done it legit every time I say cheese away, once everything gets patched up before the hard raid, the people who took the time to learn and master it legit will separate themselves from the people who rely on the cheese, just like when the templar was patched. So many people asked for the templar to be nerfed and I was really curious if he was as hard as people made it out be. Ended up beating him the first try.

I imagine there's a big portion of players doing the raid just to cheese. I also imagine bungie is not going to ban a large minority (subjective approximation) of their player base without a warning. I can suspect that [b]if[/b] there is a Thursday update, it will be basically; "Enjoy your free legendary engram, aka shards. Happy holidays, there is X number of players without anything better to do today. Also, stopping -blam!-ing cheating, final warning."

2 RepliesYou aren't going to be banned. One of the ways that they seem to judge how well the game is doing is by measuring the amount if hours spent in game. So if they ban all the people that cheese crota how many hours would they lose. Not to mention how many playstaytion plus memberships would be cancelled during the down time. I say if you want a better game it is your solemn duty as a guardian to kill crota by any means necessary. Kill him with cheese or without but kill him often. At least eris will thank you for it

1 ReplyI'll admit I have done that crota exploit once with a group I hope I dont get banned. I didnt disconnect though someone else on my fireteam did. I could see how using this exploit is grounds for banning though. Your purposely disconnecting to have an advantage in a game and bungie keeps track of everything. I know I wont be ever doing this again. Getting gear easy isnt worth getting banned for it.

I hope this happens, this is awesome. Now I hope that bungie releases a warning before they start the bans. But I think the drops from the raid should be exclusive for those people that can actually beat it.

Honestly in my opinion cheesing is harder than doing the raid legit. Like my team did 3 in an hour and a half and only had one mess up at crota. If you need to cheese something this easy you probably shouldnt be playing an mmo.

Blah blah blah ..... Looks like over half the gaming community is getting banned .... They don't need those customers though huh .... Just ban them all .... Lol .... If they aren't in your lobby then why are caring so much ? Surely there's more important things in life .... There's quite a few glitches that need to be fixed before any 'cheese' ( which is technically a tactic and not cheating/cheesing at all ) Bungie need to fix their broken game NOT ban ppl for playing it !!!!!!!!!! Sony won't ban anyone for a mistake that a game dev has with their game ..... ESPECIALLY if it's NOT affecting anyone else's game ( which it doesn't )
