Help with strict NAT warning since 12/18 on Xbox One

Since 12/18 I have been getting the strict NAT warning when I start the game and load my first character. I got this warning when the game first came out months ago but it was fixed when I went in and forwarded the ports listed for Xbox One. I do not think this is related to the recent patch because I did not receive this warning the first two days after installing the patch but have for the last three days. Things I have tried or verified to remove the strict NAT warning: * Verified that in the Network Settings of Xbox One that is says Open NAT * Verified that the list of ports for forwarding is still set in the modem/router. * Verified that UPnP is enabled on the modem. * Unplugged the modem/router to power cycle * Unplugged the Xbox One to power cycle I am on Comcast in the Seattle. The modem is the Technicolor-TC8305C. The Xbox One is wired. Since I have gotten the strict NAT warning I have received many beaver errors. Mostly going to the Tower but also during public events or trying to enter the IB.

  • I did exactly what you did and haven't fixed the problem either. I live in Tacoma, WA and also have Comcast. I don't use their equipment though, I use my own modem and router, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I don't know what else to do at this point since it's clearly not Comcast's mo- actually, Comcast just went down for me. My phone just switched to data and my modem lights went off. So maybe it's Comcast's network that's affecting us?

    • Go to settings connection and click test multiplayer connection after that don't click A. Press and hold LB LT RB RT then it'll pop up and say your behind a cone NAT. Then that should fix it

    • About to quit playing cause of it....X1, X360, pc, router/modem, all tells me my nat is "open", but yet as soon as I startup destiny I get the "strict nat" bullshit and I know it's not on my end... I am literally soooo tired of seeing just that message, it's enough to make me quit destiny...sad, but I'm over that message. The really sad part of it is, Not a single soul from Bungie will help, no one here on the website or on twitter... D-O-N-E

    • Use Get that too. My NAT was type 2 but became type 3 on destiny. All I did was stop useing WiFi and use the LAN cable instead warning appear 20% of the time now instead 100%.

    • I remember a thread posted earlier that stated his Comcast modem was the problem. Search model number on forums..
