Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

Played heroic strikes over and over with 3OC trying to get an exotic, and when I did, it was a yr 2 version of something I already have. I want new gear, RNG!

Before ttk came outI spent 5 weeks or more trying to get the ram, I generally have good luck not a single thing bought 9 engrams last week before ttk and nothing. After ttk dropped bought 4 trying to get graviton forfeit or year 2 saint 14 got two skyburner helms, obsidian mind and the stag. Not a total let down but still.

There are probably a lot of people here who will not remember this, or even experienced it, but when this game was initially released there was a place in Skywatch on earth known by many names, including: [b]The Loot Cave The Glory Hole The Treasure cove[/b] The list literally goes on. Spend ~1 hour there, and you would need to head back to the tower and turn in your engrams to Master Rahool simply because your inventory, and postmaster, where maxed out. It was awesome. Alas, this was also the time when legendaries were difficult to come by, and even more difficult to decrypt and get an actual piece of legendary gear. My first legendary was a helmet, and I was overjoyed to see it land on the ground next to the glory hole. I sprinted to Rahool, had him decrypt it, and got myself a nice piece of uncommon (green) gear. From a legendary engram. I am so glad Bungie corrected that crap.

Before they removed shards and energy from the nightfall loot table, I soloed arc burn omnigul, got 7 shards.

I complete an old strike before ttk, and had over 200 kills, my partners had come in at the boss and had killed maybe 25 each and helped me take down the last 10% on the boss. They both got a legendary and a rare engram, and I got squat. I felt like RNGesus was teabagging me so -blam!-ing hard my face was gonna cave in.

I was doing strikes with friends and 3 coins. I get a zhalo supercell from my first exotic engram drop, but my friend kept getting telestos. He really wanted zhalo, but get 3 telestos in a row. I ended up get 4 exotics total, crest of alpha lupi, tripmine arms, year 2 hawkmoon, and my baby, the zhalo supercell. [spoiler]playing on 360[/spoiler]

I said I always got the Monte Carlo and I had gotten 4 from this chest already. That chest gave me another when we got to it. I hope they fixed that system because that wasn't rng, it was "here you go, the same thing. Why? Because I'm rngesus bitch. So get out my face and wait another week. I'll give you the Monte Carlo again as a reward for all your troubles."

From the SABER nightfall all I got was a legendary warlock bond; granted it was light 295 but the rest of the team got exotics

3 Repliesday one of buying taken. king I got a Monte carlo from the vet pack OK not bad at least it was not a hard light then spent 1 hour of.3 of coins farming literally got 4 boot endgramms and 1 exotic primary plus 1 helm helm was garbage all 4 boots were year ones the primary what I had been locking forward to yay! come boom...... .... .... .... a -blam!-ing Monte carlo keep in mind I already had a Monte carlo equipped during all this

Yesterday's nightfall. I get 200+ kills. All I want is the freaking hawkmoon. Guess who gets the hawkmoon? The warlock with 18 kills. I got strange coins

The last two days, grinding CoO and strikes for engrams above 295. At 298 and every thing that drops is 260-290. Gone up one light level after turning in close to 100 engrams. Got lots of 280 legendaries tho.

My Year 2 RNJESUS CHRIST WTF moments [b]1. Exotic Engram Exploit:[/b] Got 4 primary engrams. They became Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo, and then the other 2 became Hawkmoon and Monte Carlo. [b]2. Nightfall: [/b]Bought Suros for 150 marks then immediately did the nightfall and got the Suros.

Well the last five three of coins I get two blues each time I have used ten and only got three exotic drops and two of them where the same helmet

Our team was about to win crucible and I had over 4000 points, then our team loses and someone on the other got a gjallarhorn.
