Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

Last night on hard mode. Got shards and 311 shotgun up to oryx. So disgusted

So we were doing the Vault of Glass nothing different. However we had to carry our friend because in the middle of HoW he still didn't know how to do the raid. So usual drops of shards he gets a found verdict he is happy, we get to the exotic chest getting usual rewards of shattered vault stuff and shards now we get to Atheon and we finally are done and the loot is handed out we get shards and chatterwhite he gets that and an Icebreaker. TL:DR we carried someone who walks away with an Icebreaker.

My worst RNG moment,....... people complaining about not getting gjallarhorn, complains EVERYWHERE in game, in real life, on the forums, man these forums burned!!

The first nightfall of the Taken King. 2 of my friends gathered at 270 light, this was maybe Thursday before the raid, and entered that hell. Under leveled and in prepared for the challenges that waited for us in the dark blade strike, we walked in. 2 hours. That's how long we were there for. 2 hours of grinding and hiding from shriekers and nights that took ten sniper hits to kill. A very special kind of hell. Then we get to Alakul and oh boy was that fun. Cursed thralls everywhere, Alakul one hitting us and teleporting right behind us. With my newly obtained fourth horseman (shoutout to that beautiful legendary Engram I got on the first day) and a lot of cursing and nightstalkers, we beat him. We were all so happy. Then the rewards screen came up. Mokevillev2 got a Telesto. Amazing a new exotic! Prone T0 Drift got a 290 Truth. Great we needed some more rockets and an exotic in the early stages of the game is nothing to complain about! And I got... A 280 legendary chest plate. It was worst then the one I had. After all that and my friends getting amazing rewards I got a freakin chest plate I couldn't even use for infusion

The entire vault of glass. People whom had done the raid significantly less than me had full raid sets before I got my first piece of raid gear. Imagine doing the raid 15 times and then your buddy comes in and does it his first time and gets two raid armor pieces. Hey, that's rng for you. It just really sucks sometimes, but it's also the biggest reason I stopped playing destiny when HoW came out. The taken King was an improvement so I'm glad I came back.

During TDB (I was over 850hrs into Destiny without Gjallarhorn) and after sitting through numerous (too many to count) Gjallarhorn drops for friends and randoms alike I was doing a NM on Crota. At the Deathsinger everyone (yes, EVERYONE) had the old faithful drop... Everyone except me... Again. Then for Crota's drop... Another three Gjallarhorn's graced the on screen loot drop notifications... Once again though, not for yours truly. That's 5/6 people getting it in one drop, and 3/6 in another drop... IN THE SAME RAID. Needless to say I just sighed, and once again signed off with: "Maybe next time".

after killing oryx this morning everyone got a hardmode weapon/armor some even got 2.. you know what i got? 2 fkn shards only... thats the worst... and i was the one with the most kills and least amount of deaths by the end of the raid... wtf!!

I've had a lot, but recently did golgoroth on hard (hadn't run normal) and got 2 shards as my reward :-(

Farming exotics and finally get one after using 10 three of coins. I'm 305+ light expecting a 310 special weapon. Well cryptarch was like hereafter 290 for you. I then continue to the raid and get the here after in the exotic chest and oryx 290 both. The next day I buy another set of three of coins, and guess what i got a 290 hereafter

First time doing kings fall HM on my hunter. At the time, the only raid gear my hunter could get from normal was boots. From golgoroth, got 310 HM boots, then from oryx, only drop was another 310 HM boots. Still the best boots he has...

Two moments take the cake. I once bought Heart of the Praxic Fire from Xur, back in TDB, and then got it in the Nightfall I did right after. Bought Hawkmoon when he last sold it, got a Primary Exotic Engram, and I then got another Hawkmoon.

Xur sells year two hawk moon i buy three of coins get one primary and I get hawk moon then go do the raid exotic chest gives me HAwkmoon I have 20 moldering shards for oryx and I get HAwkmoon 310
