Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

I wasn't home and my friends did Crota without me then another time they did vault of glass and I wasn't home. Then 32 prison of elders without me cuz I was away AND THEN I carry my friend (who is higher level than me but is really bad at the game) through skolas where I solo the boss because he can't pass the platforms. After we have the treasure keys we do 28 Poe ( which I carry him through). We go to treasure room and I get plan c ( why, why me?) and I hear my friend whisper Gally ( he wasn't joking

I always start slow in PvP. Today was especially slow running new HoW maps for the first time. Got Ill Will with a .2 which made me feel stupid lol. I went on to lead my team 2 matches later so I justified the drop in my own mind. I hate rewards for failure!

I just played the 28 Poe on my second character and got the red death.....I got the red death on my first character on my first Poe run as well >:(

NLB in all 3 nightfalls in one week. Smh

Ran the sword awesomely in crota hard once. Got a NLB. Next week, same thing. I got a knucklehead radar three weeks in a row in nightfall also. No gally, suros after the Nerf, vex after they screwed up fusion rifles...... I could go on.......

Pretty much every exotic engram I ever spent my Motes on. Why does it always turn into one of the things you already have and not the one you wanted whether it's a helmet or a chest piece?

3 RepliesMy clan had 3 members with what we call "unicorns," weapons that seem to elude them and only them. One was Gally, one was black hammer, and one was fatebringer. all three got them last week

3 RepliesAfter months of awful RNG moments I had a good weekend finally. I did the daily heroic on Friday night. Received 5 engrams to decrypt. All turned to crap. But it leveled me up and I got a package at postmaster. Which turned into Gjallorhorn. Then Saturday went to Xur. Bought 5 helmet engrams hoping for either the Ram, Celestial Nighthawk, or Helm of Saint helmet. Got all three in those 5 engrams.

1 ReplyThere was like a week where every reward u got was a mida multi tool. And I mean Every reward crota 3 times got one in VOG 2 of my characters in the nightfall. Then that friday....xur was selling it.

The second week HoW was out I got 5 icebreakers. I've had an icebreaker since September.

Edited by GoBOOM: 6/29/2015 2:34:56 PMBack when Destiny was new, and fresh, and we all had hope and joy in our lives(read: month two) I had been grinding Vanguard Rep and Marks to get a purple chest for my warlock for a few weeks. I finally get my chest and equip it, decide to run a strike and what's the reward at the end? The same exact damn chest I had just worked so hard to get. This started the spiral into my first break from Destiny which ended when I hit the level 29 wall and couldn't get the gear I needed from VoG. It's pretty stupid that Bungie would implement shared loot tables between vendors and quest/strike rewards, and completely devalue the work and time people put into the game.

2 RepliesWorst RNG moment is playing VoG 3 times each week and never getting the Vision. That gun eludes me for whatever reason. 2 G Horns, 2 Hawkmoon, The Last Word I have, but no -blam!-ing Vision.

No land beyond and dragons breath. Got those crap items on the raids and nightfall this week. My group was pissing themselves laughing so hard.

Played Crota's End on hard mode... Got nothing except 8 Raid Shards total! No weapons, no armor... Just 8 Raid Shards, not even an emblem or shader. Just 8 freaking Raid Shards

2 RepliesBack when there was no matchmaking on the weekly , i finally got 13 sc, waited for xur to sell hunter don't touch me gauntlets... Bought them, equipped them, then for giggles bought the guantlets engram (motes of light) and you guessed it , master raul decodes the don't touch me guantlets.... DARN YOU RNG...
