Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

Doin hard templar a couple weeks ago and nobody in the game had a fatebringer and we all wanted one except for my friend who had already had like 3 and then we wreck the templars little glory hole for an eye in and what happens? We all get shards and energies except for my friend he got 2 fatebringers *flips table*

My warlock has pre expansion legendary armor for her feet and arms and a rare chest piece. I did a handful of strikes with her and got a legendary chest engram. Sweet! I got it decrypted, and it turned out to be ascendant energy. My hunter already has 37 of those. GODDAMMIT!! I DONT NEED ASCENDANT ENERGY!!!

Been lucky on that front. Worst I've had is receiving dragons breath and truth right after buying them. Wasn't so bad though, used the extra shards to level them up

getting a heavy legendary engram from patrol and decrypting to get the exact same launcher with the exact same perks

Sat there for an hour with people doing crota when i didnt really care. My friends need it. I constantly help them, and constantly get 2 energy. EVERY. RUN. I am missing black hammer. And have not been able to find an able group for hard mode. Found one once, and had to leave for work. 20 minutes after i leave they finish it. Fml and screw rng

1 ReplyTemplar gave me Two fatebringers (had one) , beating atheon gave me two hezen vengeance (had one already) chest before gorgan maze gave me icebreaker (had two at the moment), acendant shards, chatterwhite and the stupid sparrow at atheon as well all in one raid. I had one everything already bummer.

Edited by Sobieske: 2/11/2015 1:48:29 AMall my friends who've gotton their gjallarhorns have gotton it from me carrying them through NF or my VoG crew carrying some lower leveled players...... to make it sad most have gotton 2-3 of them. (i've seen a total of 13 go now) while after many raids and many many weeks of grinding NF's still not a single gjallar, hardlight, red death, nor thunderlord or helm of saint 14. however all the hunter and warlock gear imagineable........... :(

2 RepliesWhen I did VoG on hard with my friend and some randoms. Got nothibg but shards / energies. We kill atheon (mind you, we hadn't done it on normal yet.) Three people in my party get exotics and two get legendaries. My friend ended up with Mythoclast and Hardlight on his very first run. You know what I got? Timebreaker and energy.

Majority of raids = shards/energy. Almost every purple heavy engram = shards/energy... The exotics I do get as drops seem to all be Plan C Truth No Land Beyond
