Your worst RNG moment?
Hey guys! I decided to start a thread and see what everyone's worst moment was when dealing with RNG?
[b]Mine:[/b] Spent half an hour farming glimmer that i needed to upgrade my Heart of the Praxic Fire to 2.0. Then broke down a Patience and Time to get an exotic shard, and i bought the upgrade. Then went and immediately did the nightfall, and what do you think my roll was at the end? Heart of the Praxic Fire 2.0..........

Edit: Looks like we've hit 1,000+ replies! I don't know if that's a good thing or a depressingly sad thing that we've all had such terrible luck. Lol either way, keep em comin' guys!
Edit: Wow! 2,000+ replies! Judging from the number of replies to my thread about your "best RNG moment," i'd say we all have more bad luck than good with this game. Lol

Me? Opening legendary engrams! I got a single shot rocket launcher with a stability perk. I get pulse rifles in primary slots. One of them had TWO STABILITY PERKS when it had really high stability. My first legendary weapon was the Hex Arc Castor, with NO STABILITY PERKS.... But it does have field scout...84 bullets with speed reload (spray and pray). It's actually a ridiculous weapon that is fun to use. It's terrible, but it's very amusing to use for how horrible it is to aim. Actually, I think my worst RNG moments surround stability perks.

11 RepliesEdited by FunkTheWorld: 1/4/2015 8:25:47 AMI solo'd the Valus T'aurc nightfall and thought "why don't I be a cool roommate and login to my buddy's Titan on his console and get him a free nightfall clear while he's at work?" So I do. I get the boss down to his last shot, go sit in the "cheese" spot under the ramp for safety while I log onto his Titan and join session. Once he's in there, I head back over to my room and kill him. He didn't have to shoot a single bullet, he didn't even have to touch his controller. I get a nice pack of 5 strange coins. Guess what my roommate gets? Gjallarhorn. The Gjallarhorn I'd been trying to get for 4-5 weeks at the time. All for doing literally nothing, without even being aware that he'd actually gotten it. He comes home and sees a Gjallarhorn in his inventory and asks me about it and I tell him what happened. He just laughs and says "thanks a lot" and goes on doing his daily routine. He doesn't even use it that much either. I've got two now so it's not as big of a deal anymore, but I was pretty furious at the time.

First time completing vog, got a class item and chatterwhite. No gear

Completed the nightfall with my friend. Joked that he would get strange coins and he joked i would get shards. Turns out he got shards and i got strange coins. And that's the reason why i don't do the nightfall anymore.

My first legendary engram and I was hoping for a fusion rifle but I got the secret handshake shotgun I don't use them.

Yesterday doing VOG hard mode hoping for vex and VOC....two, yes 2!! helmets dropped after atheon. Would have been nice pre dlc

Getting Hardlight from a legendary engram from the weekly heroic, then getting another Hardlight straight after on the nightfall. The next week got another Hardlight from the nightfall. I don't use auto rifles.
