I hate to say it, cause I don't really completely like the idea. For our ships, and the loading screens, make a rail shooter where we are fending off either invasion ships or just massive amounts of smaller ships, let me see the weapons fire on the damn thing. Problems with it, could become really repetitive (unless good amount of randomness), and if it becomes the only kind of space combat we would get.
