I am in full agreement!
With 13.5 days (total time 327 hours) spent playing this game I have not gotten any exotic drops I wanted.
Every Exotic I use has been purchased from Xur with the exception of the Vex.
I really want IceBreaker and GHorn ( couldn't afford either at the time), and the Heart of praxic fire.
I have gotten to the point that grinding for the RNG to award me one of them isn't worth it and I am loosing interest in destiny cause of it. I find it frustrating.

Yep. I too felt this way many times. Then one day I literally hit the jackpot and got the new skull of ahamkara and 3 legendary engrams in one day of playing. The game seems to wait until you're heart is broken, then it will throw a bunch of luck at you all at once!! :p
