"Do not exploit game vulnerabilities and glitches." Well that one is bullshit. Vulnerabilities and glitches are from flaws in the gamecode or netcode, so they are directly the game makers fault and gamers should not be penalized for using flawed game code to their advantage. That's like telling someone to get from point a to point b and presenting a really hard path and a hidden easy one and later saying they didn't actual get to point b because they found the hidden path.

You guys I was literally just commenting on that one point. I am not for dcing and I realize it's not considered part of that portion. Just pointing out glitches are part of a "flawed product" and granted they aren't easily detectable by the small group of testers. But given they are errors in the production portion of the games no player should be punished for using them.

Is a blanket statement to cover all bases. It's not saying "don't discover them." It's saying don't exploit them. The idea behind this statement is to have gamers report the glitches and vulnerabilities that Dev's may be unaware of. Despite what everyone thinks, it is impossible to QA every possible glitch that gamers can find. DC'ing (disconnecting) on purpose has no bearing on net code or design code. You're cheating by intentionally dc'ing because you can't code something to prevent it except by making the statement: -IF Disconnect THEN end game session Who wants that to happen if someone's network goes out! It's not the game makers fault in any way shape or form. You just don't like the terms of use because they don't adhere to your skewed view on a games code of conduct.

  • Pulling a network cable or power cable isn't a glitch in the code, it is manipulating the game system to gain an advantage, similar to lan-switching. That action has always been banable with Playstation and xbox. Cheesing bosses by pushing them off is perfectly fine to do because it is within the realm of the game.
