Pulling a network cable or power cable isn't a glitch in the code, it is manipulating the game system to gain an advantage, similar to lan-switching. That action has always been banable with Playstation and xbox. Cheesing bosses by pushing them off is perfectly fine to do because it is within the realm of the game.
