I'd been playing this game mostly solo since I got it. No team PVE, and no PVP. Finally jumped into the Crucible fully not long ago. Previous attempts eneded horibly, like 1 kill games each time.
Watched a few vids on tips for PVP, and I'm now more often a valued team member when playing. I've yet to dive in the every man for himself game type, but it feels very good to finally he cracking some heads and putting dem dubyas up. Lol!
I've gone from being garbage to not totally sucking and it feels good...feels good. Lol
Biggest tip I can give for success in the Crucible is to realize this is not COD, Battlefield, or Halo. Its Destiny. Playing this game with just run o the mill fps tactics alone will probably cause you to end up being shot in the face with a Gallahorn shell most likely.
Gallahorn shell = Bad.

Ya it took me a while to get the pvp mechanics. Sometimes I have some really bad games but otherwise I'm usually top 3 with a lot of assists in between. I'm slower to kill because I don't usually spray and pray I use a scout or a hand cannon a lot so I'm more ranged unless it's a stage like Mars where you need a shotty or a fusion or you're dead
