PSN status update
Here's an update for anyone in the dark as to what's happening:
The lizard squad attacks have been stopped by another having team called the Finest Squad. Visit lizardsquad.info as that site has been also hacked by finest squad in successful attempt to stop the lizards. They have also been in touch with law enforcement and have puckishly released much information on the personal identity of the lizards
Now to psn: psn was taken down earlier by the request of Sony executives until further notice for various "maintenance" to be performed. Psn is down because they want it to be as of right now; while they investigate, as they say.

1 ReplyIt Director here. Seriously doubt Sony is rebuilding anything. They are likely following their security response protocols, and scanning for any breaches. Remember, they literally just had the biggest data breach ever that I'm aware of. They are in full on lock down mode until they're certain this was just a ddos.

4 RepliesFinest Squad did not stop the attacks. Mega owner Kimdotcom paid off Lizard with premium cloud service subscriptions. Now Sony has servers offline while they repair them to be up later today.

7 RepliesI appreciate you shedding some actual light on the situation, but this is super frustrating. Sony execs should have better business savvy than this, in my opinion. The outages made their consumer base mad, and now to keep it offline at their leisure while Xbox has been doing its best to go right back up makes Sony look bad.
