Everything that most people recommended is good, but very mainstream, so it goes on and on and on and never ends.
You want to find a great anime series, either new, or with a few seasons, so you can really connect with the characters, and what you can base your anime off of your movies. What type of movies do you like lol?

All kinds, i listed a few already. Because i like Tim Burton, and suspense, a certain persons work was suggested to me. Don't know his name from the top of my head.
