Christian mentality: I do nice things to go to heaven
Atheist mentality: I do nice things to do nice things
Moral of the story is...
Engrapadora's a horse fucker wanna be
Edit: I realize now I made a mistake, this isn't how Christianity works as my good freind Wreck The Halls says...
If that's how you look at Christian religion then you are uneducated. Christians do nice things to act more like the bible says to. The bible never says that you have to do nice things to go to heaven but by accepting Christ.
You only have to accept Christ...
This may be confusing to some fellow atheists... So lemme give you an example
>walks into daycare
>accepts Christ
>pull out axe
>murder de children
>get shot by police
>heaven bro!

Proof again that Christians are in fact going to hell
Edit:Edit:Edit
I see that you people have clearly never read the pastanomicon, you ignorant Christians...

The only Christians I've ever seen on here are always so vile. Always telling people God hates them and that they'll burn in hell and that they're damned for eternity. What ever happened to good Christian friendliness? Or love thy neighbor, I mean hell, it's in your damn book! And I know most of the actual Christian community is nice, those ones need to speak up.

Let me tell you a story. In the beginning God created everything. He is infinite, so our finite minds can't understand him. He is creator of all, so he demands worship from us. After all, we wouldn't exist if not for him. Then something bad happened. His crown creation all achievement did exactly what he told them not to do. Fast Forward, and you have his son dying for us, taking the all the bad things we've done, are doing, and will do. He was so covered in it, that his own father couldn't look at him because of all the nasty disgusting "bad" that we are capable of, and that he is holy, which means he is the positive side of the magnet to what "bad" (sin) is to the negative side of the magnet. Because his son sacrificed himself for us, and rose again (many people have first hand accounts of this if you don't think he did) and created a bridge. We have a choice now, and it is ,whether or not we cross that bridge. As Christians we are commanded to be selfless, to love others, and love God. There is more to that, but those two things are the basics. When a Christian does "bad" (sin), no matter what it is, they must repent (confess and change) this is the road that leads to heaven. No other ways can. Jesus once said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one can come to the father except through me." Being good is not something you should try to do. When you are a Christian doing good becomes second nature. No one can enter heaven by being good, you can only enter heaven by following the one that laid down the bridge to leave our side of a chasm of sin. To walk safely across the pit of eternal damnation, and to reach the side of holiness. We can get there, and we can still do bad. But how we handle bad, whether by giving indifference, or changing towards Christ, will determine if we go to heaven or not. Now I know that was a lot. But I want to let everyone know this truth. I don't want anyone to go to hell and not heaven. But the truth of the matter is, because God is so loving, he wouldn't force people to go spend eternity with him if they didn't even want to spend a couple decades with him. That's it.

Did anyone tell you the two worst things to talk about are religion and politics
-
Listen, obviously this is a sensitive topic so it sounds like a great idea to post it on an Internet forum. Honestly people, have some decency, and don't bring politics, religion, or anything else into public for everyone to rage on. Keep your personal views to yourself and stop trying to preach it. (Ironic Right? Preach?)

People can we drop this already!? Let's go back to calling each other a fāg for stupid shit like having A different opinion about destiny. I miss the days when we all thought little of others half assed attempts at popularity. You know why people are overly religious!? Because -blam!-ing atheists keep antagonizing them... So how about we all shut the -blam!- up and move on with our lives...

Edited by NOSDAQ: 12/31/2014 3:24:22 PMDude. You're trying to prove why atheists are morally better than christians. But all you're doing is calling all christians ignorant etc. All Christians are going to hell? Atheists don't believe that. That's just you trying to be a -blam!-. This is the exact reason why some religious people have a problem with atheists. I don't have a problem with atheists, I have a problem with atheists like you. Put your b8 away.

Believing that Jesus Christ the son of God died on the cross during the passion for our sins is the one and ONLY way to enter the gates of heaven, doing nice things does nothing but is good for Christians to do nice things to show the attributes gained by God. The 7 gifts. Try to know your stuff before insulting other faiths next time buddy, you would have known all this if you just read the Bible.

Lol. It all makes sense now. All of the evidence points towards Engrapadora

The Christian religion? Or the Christian faith? I ask because I think you have a misconception of what Christianity is. Now don't get me wrong. I can understand why you would think that way. What with Catholics, Protestants, Baptists, Lutherans, etc, etc. So many different versions of Christianity. How do I know which one is the right one? I don't have to. I read the Bible for myself. And accepted Christ as my savior. And as such I have faith in Jesus. I say faith because I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Which means that I believe in God. Which means that I believe what the Bible says. Which version of the Bible you ask? Well that's easy. All of them. I sat down with a computer program that had every version you can think of. And the ability to compare chapter and verse. That way, if I had any doubts as to what was being said, I could just compare the different translations and ensure I understood. I only told you that as to give insight into my belief system. I do not wish to convert you or say that you are wrong for not believing. Every person alive must make their own choice. But back to your OP. You cannot get into heaven through good works/deeds. You can only get into heaven by acceptance of Christ as your savior and believing that He is in fact the son of God. Now as an athiest, you don't have to worry about that. But let me address your second point. And that is accepting Christ and then committing sin. You might have a belief that a Christian can accept Christ, then go out and murder someone and die and still go to heaven. Because hey, they accepted Christ, right? Wrong. More than once, it is written that Christ said to those that accepted Him, "now go and sin no more". But we all do. Because we are imperfect. The key here is living a life that is pleasing to Christ and asking for the forgiveness of your sin. If you're living a life that is pleasing to Christ, then you shouldn't be killing, -blam!-, stealing, or doing anything else that would land you in prison. It becomes about being self aware and understanding what is right and what is wrong. And striving to do right in every circumstance. Again, you do not get into heaven by doing good works, yet you are still expected to do them. Why? Because when you accept Christ, you become a disciple of Christ. In essence you become a member of the body of Christ. And Christ is all about love and forgiveness. Not about hate, anger, rage, being a victim, etc. I hope that I have cleared it up a little for you. My last bit of advice to you as an athiest is this. If you want to know more about any particular religion or faith, read the books aligned with those religions. That way, you will speak from a position of authority on the subject instead of being ill informed.

If you think about it rationally, if it's between being an Atheist and a Christian ('accepting Christ') then only a fool would be an Atheist. This is all my opinion (obvs) and % used to highlight my point.. In the case of no God (99% likely): Atheists = when you die you die there's nothing Christians = when you die you die there's nothing In the case of God (1% likely): Atheists = go to hell Christians = go to heaven Atheists: Is it really worth not accepting Christ for the chance of eternal damnation regardless of how unlikely, improbable and absurd it? When 'accepting Christ' requires little to no effort?
I'm an Atheist that's been Baptised but i do believe Christ existed (albeit probably as another name but as someone who was either off their cake professing to be the Son of God or as someone who hated the Romans and fought against them which they then used as a martyr for the Bible and ting) so I no idea what that makes me
you are either the dumbest person on earth or are truly a sad boring little troll. either way your ignorance of religion is unreal. get a clue or shut up

Edited by My Name Is John: 12/31/2014 2:39:22 PMIf you're an atheist saying there's a hell then you may need to look again at your beliefs...
