Let me give you a hypothetical parallel; if I was to ask a Christian what the biblical explanation of the birth of Jesus Christ was, and they said "the bible", how can I possibly understand or accept the assertion of the biblical interpretation of Jesus Christ? Further more, if they are to go as far as to say that he was birthed by a virgin mother, explaining this by merely saying "this book; this verse", is it illogical to disbelieve such an assertion? No, of course it isn't. They have not explained their evidence to this biblical claim, and as such there evidence is irrelevant.
Similarly, when someone disbelieves Darwinian Evolution, and you curse them for ignorance and denial of science, and they ask for evidence, and you simply state, "the fossil record." Are these two words magical? No. Do they refer to a record of fossils left over from past lived organisms on earth? Yes. Does this record, by itself, provide proof of Darwinian Evolution to someone who doesn't know? No. If this naysayer of Darwinian Evolution even goes forth to google "the fossil record", will they then been shown comprehendible evidence for Darwinian Evolution? No. They will be shown an index of past lived organisms. That's great, now how does that explain Darwinian Evolution to someone who didn't believe it prior? It doesn't.
Before you consider it idiotic to not accept Darwinian Evolution, understand that everyone lives a different life, and maybe they need to be shown actual evidence to accept something. Which, you should as well. Blind acceptance is worse than ignorance. If you believe in Darwinian Evolution due to you being told "the fossil record" that's fine, but don't argue and insult another about Darwinian Evolution because of this "evidence".
If asked for proof, be logical, provide LINKS to your thinking. As much as we might not like it, on the internet, everyone is about as credible as dirt as far as scientific endeavors are concerned. Possibly provide a link to a RELIABLE SOURCE explaining how the fossil record is evidence for evolution, a RELIABLE SOURCE explaining the spotted moth expirement, a RELIABLE SOURCE explaining Darwin's Finches.
Just my two cents. Many people don't understand what "proof" or "evidence" is, and it surely isn't simply stating, "the fossil record" when talking about Darwinian Evolution.

The Fossil Record is valid proof. "The Fossil Record" is NOT.
I'm talking about argumentative process, not evolution.
TL;DR: The bible doesn't speak on Darwinian Evolution, so it is false.

The fossil record is evidence as long as you give examples of it. Just blindly saying the fossil record is evidence without giving specific examples isn't the best idea. Some examples of human evolution I have are as follows: 1. Prehistoric human remains ( neanderthalls ) found in caves with similar albeit different features such as different shape of bones or extremely large or small in height. 2. Humanity evolving intelectually to speak or draw pictures on walls. 3. The flight or fight responce was something we developed over time for when we're in danger. 4. We developed the ability top walk on two feet. These are just the ones from the top of my head; Evolution happened and there are mountains of evidence for it.
