The Knucklehead Radar is the WORST Exotic currently in the game. It doesn't even do anything impressive. It's ability is: Keep radar while ADS with primaries. REALLY!? That's all this exotic gets? Why would anyone use this when there are plenty of primaries that already have this ability? I feel that this helmet needs a major buff to make it useful compared to every other hunter exotic.
Here's some ideas for it's exotic/unique bonus
-Keep radar while ADS with ANY weapon.
-double or triple radar range with this armor equipped and show what direction they are aiming.
-Highlight enemies who aren't in cover (If their whole body is exposed), highlight enemies using cloaking.
-Extend radar range by 50% and remain off enemy radar after 4 meters.
-Extend radar range by 25%, keep radar when ADS with primary and special weapons, and when ADS auto-lock on enemy crit-spot (If any).
-Extend radar range by 25%. keep radar with primary and special weapons, do more critical damage.
The list in my mind goes on. There's a million and one ways to make this a good exotic. Bungie please listen to this post and buff the Knucklehead Radar, because right now it's useless when there are things like: Mask of the third man, or that new spine armor.

My radar is my life line. In PvP if I see u before u see me I have a 80% chance of killing u first. Right after finishing you off I'm already prepared for the OP warlock behind me. He doesn't know ive been watching him while I was ADS to killing u . The beauty of this helmet is that it significantly increases your awareness. Although I enjoy PvE , I'm a PvP guy. In PvP u live on your radar. Most players can appreciate the third eye perk because they don't notice that their not supposed to see their radar while ADS. If I had to buff it ,I would make the radar visible for all weapons, but that would be OP.

Have you even looked at the AT/S8 arachnid? Knucklehead radar is actually decent.

Edited by Kone19ps: 7/1/2015 7:28:21 PMThis helm has made me using thorn create so much rage I can feel it dripping from their guardians. Had a few I could tell were specifically hunting me and they met my felwinters and golden gun when they got too close. Been getting a lot of hate messages akin to "how do you know where I am you [insert poorly developed insult]" love it when invis users that stay with teammates rage at me. Your teammate is giving away your position and it isn't hard to actually see you

Many things could be buffed. That being said, it would be op for last round snipers to get third eye. Also its not the worst, i seen ppl who go 9-0 in trials wearing them all the time. Knowing where your opponent is at all times is important and opening up a slot on your primary that you wouldn't have otherwise. Overall balancing this exotic is tough but they could make the other rolls better for sure.

Edited by Genex07: 4/16/2015 11:34:49 PMHow about when you equip this helmet you get the HALO radar where it shows enemies as dots on the radar instead of only directional aid?
-
The helmet is fine.
-
Knucklehead is fine for PvP but waaaay off the worst exotic in the game. Where'd ya get that from
-
3rd eye for all weapons. Problem solved.
-
The new arachnid helmet is much worse, zooming with golden gun is pointless
-
I've scrapped several of these helmets just for this reason.. Also one of the many reasons I deleted my hunter.. Imo knucklehead radar should allow radar on ALL weapons.. Should also extend your radar range and remove you from all enemy radar w a "radar jamming" perk. This... Would make the helmet a viable option for hunters imo.
-
Dumb. Arachnid is the worst.
-
Well none of my favorite primaries for pvP do it so it's pretty useful
-
I disagree. That helmet combined with a powerful exotic primary like Suros and u stand a real fighting chance of kicking some royal ass in both PVP and PVE
-
Bro Knucklehead is the best hunter exotic in PvP. At least defensive wise. I have no idea what you're talking about
-
Yeah i actually only want to play hunter for that 1 particular exotic, in my opinion its the best armour exotic you can get, you think players can get close to me while ads with the last word? They can but ill have the drop on em
-
They should change the non-guardian kills to all kills. That's all it needs.
-
It's a pvp helm. Then you can use a primary weapon that doesn't waste a 3rd eye slot for something better.

Edited by LimitTester: 12/30/2014 12:03:41 AMLol, you can't be serious. I got it and I can definitely say tis borderline OP in pvp and it also has uses for pve (two birds with 1 stone), best exotic for hunter without a doubt.
-
Wanted this exotic for several weeks but once I got it I rarely use it. The main perk just isn't as useful as it sounds. I don't camp out in the scope.
-
Edited by jdorj: 12/29/2014 10:48:26 PMIt's a good helmet even in PVE one of the only exotics that give you super from killing minions... Plus a lot of players ads without ever unzooming to see what baddies are about to -blam!- them so the radar is noob friendly to keeping alive- it also looks badass
-
Lol this is a PvP helmet and when you say many weapons you must have been tripping. That helmet is easily one of the best exotic pieces of armour in PvP. You must just be using special weapons 24/7 you scrub.
-
Really? You must never use primary weapons then, because the radar is extremely useful when aiming down the sights. It's more of a perk than a helmet.
-
I think that the insurmountable helmet for titan are the useless thing I've ever used
-
Its fine, i would still use mine if i didnt have symbiote, worst case give it to all guns, the point of it is that you dont have to put that perk on a gun and save it for a better primary with a stronger perk.
-
It's fine the way it is.
-
Radar while ads was always a crucible style perk to me. They just need to change the other bonus to more super energy from guardian kills instead of non-guardian.
