I've read a few posts that the fallen won't particularly make for a very difficult opponent in the next raid. I beg to differ, and here's why. 10 things to consider...
1. Weapons that track better than any other in the game
2. Invisible Vandals of all kinds (snipers, sword bearers)
3. Teleporting Captains
4. Captains and Vandals that know how to take cover very well
5. Vandals with swords that chase you aggressively
6. Dregs with knives that chase you aggressively (these aren't like dumb thralls)
7. Vandals that know how to snipe very well
8. Servitors that teleport
9. Bosses carry weapons that kill you in one shot
10. Shanks! (pests like harpies!)
BONUS: Randal the Vandal has family you haven't met!!!
Edit: I didn't even include the fact the fallen know how to run. Vex goblins only walked. Minotaurs would walk fast but not run. So since the fallen run, how much harder will this raid be?

As of what we know so far the raid will also have modifiers. I haven't seen anyone discussing this but lightswitch and juggler will make for alot harder raid.

Edited by Unholy Trinity Ghoul: 12/29/2014 10:22:29 PMThe boss is the Awoken queen! Heavily protected by major Stealth Servitors and reever captains! Yeah... Stealth Servitors.
-
You forgot the possibility of the boss summoning a tank mid fight, or even the possibility of engaging two tanks at once.

A flying walker :d

I think that if it is in the Reef that there could be things we haven't met along with the Fallen

Until Bungie fixes their raid testing none of this matters. They need to go out and hire away the raid developers from very successful raid design teams (immediately hire the Rift raid group), put in place much better internal and community testing, and stop releasing raids not just with bugs but design issues that break any challenge. It looks like we are on a 3 month gear teadmill in this game. Unlike most gear treadmills that last a year or two in other MMOs, every three months is only sustainable if the *reason* for the treadmill is worth it. Broken raids will kill any enthusiasm for 3 or 4X a year gear mills. Fix your end game, Bungie. (great suggestions above, though)

Some crazy looking awoken hybrid monster lol
-
When vandals are close to servitors they seem to become shielded. I'm thinking a boss will be another Winter boss but with a bigger Archon Priest and another Sepkis Prime following and shielding him.
-
If these shanks have solar shields I will kill myself.
-
Shanks will just make it 10x more annoying than it needs too haha
-
A six armed fallen elite controlling a giant spider tank with 3 turrets each with a different de buff
-
Can't wait! All those things sound awesome!
-
So will we be fighting another sepiks prime? Or maybe another archon priest? At least give us a unique looking boss, not some reskinned turd please
-
And and at the end we get to fight a reskined slightly larger archon
-
Kind of curious as to how the Raid armor would make the guarian look. It'll probably be inspired off of Captains
-
I'm actually kinda scared the vandals that carry swords fear nothing.

Edited by uberarms: 12/29/2014 9:08:07 PMOr alternatively... 1.Arc burn is active 100% of the time. 2.....That's it.

At the rate bungie is going, considering crotas end, an autistic child alone will be able to complete the next raid
-
11- its in the prison of elders ( in reef ) so we are so -blam!-ed
-
me and my buds will -blam!- that raid, bring it on, and ill be buck naked in a leather chair while doing it..... sweaty!!!
-
Shanks are adorable. They're little floating explosions-in-progress with ears. What's not to love?
-
The stealth vandals are going to be such an annoyance. .-.
-
Maybe. I actually agree But you know what? The House of Wolves will gave the best looking Raid armor. Well at least for the Hunters
-
Out of the 5 houses the House of Wolves belongs to the Queen so there will be that twist too.
-
I hear this raid will be hard but comes with some fresh mozzarella cheese
